We stopped in because it looked very inviting, and I’m sure for folks who don’t eat a lot of Mexican food, this place might seem pretty good. However, the Carne Asada was a huge disappointment. Honestly, it fooled us at first — we thought they had accidentally given us ground beef. It was wet, mushy, and ground up to the point it almost looked like taco meat rather than traditional Carne Asada. If you’re a true taco connoisseur, I’d recommend skipping the Carne Asada altogether.
Be sure to double-check your order before leaving. We placed a very basic, simple order, and they still managed to get parts of it wrong. Most of the tacos were decent, but nothing worth raving about.
I’d also skip the Fresca Agua. What they called “limeade” was basically a large cup of water with a splash of lime — definitely not the bold lime flavor you expect from a proper limeade. At $5, it was essentially an overpriced glass of flavored water.
Bottom line: if you’re just looking for a quick bite and aren’t particular, this place will work in a pinch. But if you’re a foodie who’s used to authentic food trucks or higher-quality Mexican food, you may want to pass...
