Best brewery service in town! However, I could rate this place five stars for the gourmet hot dogs alone!!!
Once you walk into the brewery entrance, you can belly up to the bar and order your beverage from the menu selection on the board behind the bar. My husband gets the blonde ale "Blonde Beaver." Gotta love the names! I tend to gravitate to Red Slough Ale, Bigfoot Brown and the different seasonal stouts. Our favorite hot dog so far is the "Three Squirts" ;) that has caramelized onions, pickled jalapeno relish, mayo, mustard, ketchup, and bacon crumbles. The combination is smoky, spicy and delicous. Wonderful combination. Even the hot dog buns are delicous. I have also ordered the "Beaver Pleaser" that is topped with Big Foot chili, shredded sharp cheddar, diced onions, and yellow mustard. There are many other delicous combinations to choose from with catchy names that are prepared in the food truck outside appropriately named "The Wienery!" The food truck also serves a Philly cheesesteak called "Rocky Balboa" as well as quesadillas and nachos. Only certified angus beef franks are used for the dogs.
Beavers Bend Brewery boasts some of the most beautiful patio space in Hochatown with multiple levels with the top most having an awesome view of Hochatown. There are also many fans that are pretty effective in the summer time along with lots of shade trees; and in the winter there are heat lamps on the patios to keep you warm.
The patio areas are family friendly and pet friendly. Dog bowls are provided to keep your furry...
Read moreUPDATE: Still happy with the product and location, but incredibly frustrated with management. The weekend I was there, I went in every day. On Friday, their card readers were malfunctioning and I was accidentally charged twice. No big deal, it happens. I called Monday, and was told "sorry, we are really busy, please email me at this address and we will look into it." Awesome. Wednesday rolls around and I follow up with another email to remind. Nothing. Friday, the same. I called, no one answered, and emailed AGAIN. Nothing. Saturday I called and got through to a woman who told me she would look into it. Two more days, nothing. I am calling my credit card company today to dispute the charges. This is sadly abysmal service. Mistakes happen, no anger on that part. But being ignored for a week is insane. So sad, as I really did like this place and made sure to buy a shirt as well before I left. ORIGINAL: First time up in this area...and made it a point to come here every day! Already looking forward to my next trip up and will definitely grab another Peach with a splash...
Read moreWe visited Beavers Bend Brewery while camping at the lake on Memorial Day weekend 2016. The place is nice, set upon a hill overlooking Hochatown with a great outdoor patio. My friend and I love IPA, so we tried their Later Dude "IPA". I put it in quotes because it is NOT an IPA. It is honestly the WORST beer labeled as an "IPA" I have ever had. It tasted kinda like a Bud Light spiked with pickle juice! I have tasted a lot of very good IPAs. Green Flash West Coast, Community Mosaic, Founders Centennial, Deep Ellum, New Belgium Ranger, and many other excellent IPAs. This Later Dude was not even a bad IPA, it is not an IPA and whatever it is it is NOT good. The Later Dude is listed as 64 IBUs. It is probably closer to 30 IBUs! This was the only beer we tried so we cannot speak for any of their other beers. Beavers Bend Brewery is a cool place but their "IPA" is AWFUL!!! MUCH LATER, Beavers Bend...
