Blue Beaver Luxury Cabins — Local services in Hochatown

Always Welcome Our group of 8 family members was so excited to go on our 3rd trip to the Broken Bow cabin area. We used another company before with no issues but decided to try Blue Beaver this time since the reviews were pretty good. Boy were we disappointed in the first impression we got upon arrival. The cabin was not cleaned!!! According to the website it says throughly sanitized cabins. LIES!!! Our cabin had hairs on the bathroom floors, tub, and sinks. Trash in bathrooms upstairs. Countertops when wiped with Clorox wipes were brown. We planned on wiping down and spraying a bit of Lysol here and there because of the Pandemic but WHOA!! This turned into sweeping, dusting, all out cleaning when we should have been relaxing.After many photos of filth and cleaning for over an hour we called to tell them about the dirty cabin. A bit later someone came and offered to clean but we were done by then. She apologized and said I should have called when we first got there. I really didn’t know how to take that. I wouldn’t think I would have to call them to come clean a cabin that’s advertised as throughly cleaned and sanitized. Should have been clean upon our arrival PERIOD!!! At bedtime me and my hubby found a hairbrush full of hair at the foot of our bed, and someone’s pajama shorts and big dust bunnies up under the pull out sofa while we were about to make the bed for our 6 year old for the night. We were disgusted. I took video and pictures of this as well. We stripped the beds because we didn’t trust that they had been cleaned. I was disappointed, exhausted, and over it. I sent an email with the recent video /pics and they did apologize and offered to refund our first night. We also called the next day and asked if the hot tub could be drained and cleaned again because we just didn’t trust it at that point. I do appreciate the fact that they did come and do that.We thought we were going on a vacation to get away from masks, constant cleaning, and sanitizing but we were wrong. I had such high hopes for this rental but it let us down big time. The fridge had issues, a broken piece inside and it beeps often. The cabin it self was nice, and we made great memories in spite of the issues. I suggest hiring another cleaning crew, and making sure they are really cleaning because the one you use now just cost you future bookings because we will never use you again and we won’t recommend you either. Other suggestions would be to give guest more than one wash cloth for the entire stay. More washing detergent since we have to wash the towels to have a clean towel to bathe/ wash our faces daily and Kleenex in the bathrooms would be a...

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in this beautiful cabin. The setting of the cabin is wonderful in the piney woods. The cabin is nicely decorated. It is in a neighborhood of cabins. This cabin had 2 bedrooms both with King size beds. They allow you to bring pets and we enjoyed having our 2 king cavalier spaniels with us. I wish that they included on the website the square footage of each cabin. This was a little small. There was only one table inside and it is a high top table with stools for dining. It would be nice if they included a card table to play games or to have a jigsaw puzzle going. The wifi worked perfectly the whole time| There is a wonderful gas log fire place that you just flip a switch to turn on. One way that this cabin could be improved is to upgrade the shower curtain, towels and pillows. There are 3 TVs with one in each bedroom. They have a lot of sports channels. Upgrading to smart TVs would allow people to utilize streaming services such as Netflix. The bathtub is small and the water pressure was not good. We appreciated the king size bed. That size is a must for us, but it is time for a new mattress. There is no icemaker or even ice trays to make your own ice. It would be nice to have a small hatchet to deal with fire building. The cabin includes a clothes washer and dryer and it works great. The hot tub is nice, I just would have liked to make it hotter but I complied with the directions not to adjust the temperature. A deer ran right by the cabin while we were standing outside. The game out by the fire pit was fun. The checkin was easy and I like the code lock instead of keys. Makes it super easy. Broken Bow is always fun and memorable. This was our 1st family trip to Broken Bow, and I have personally been several times. ||||I decided to rent from Blue Beaver again since they've never let me down. I can’t necessarily say that this time. I rented one of the biggest cabins on their website. We went to the beautiful Steinmore. This cabin is very impressive and has plenty of space for everyone. The rooms are decorated nicely, and all the amenities were thought of. ||||My biggest letdown was the beds in the 2 master rooms downstairs. The beds are not of the highest quality and do not have box springs. The beds sit VERY low for the group and make it very difficult to get in and out of. I am 6ft, 230 lbs., and felt like I was sinking into the bed and rolling back toward the headboard. My daughter and her husband slept in the master closet to the kitchen, and they too did not sleep well. The mattresses were not the issue, it was the fact that the mattresses are sitting on planks. ||||Other things that were bothersome are small details and have to do with expectations.||||• Dusty blinds||• Smears on walls||• Trashcan was not empty upon arrival||• The walls behind the trashcans were dirty||• The trash bin drawer was filthy around the lip of the can||• Comforters and throw pillows in bedrooms were stained||• Only two trash bags were left for a family of 15 for the whole weekend||• Christmas plates and décor on the table were dusty- Probably pulled from the storage and set right onto the table||• Glasses were greasy and many needed to be rewashed before using||||These are all small details that will make this cabin more awesome than it was.
