Anyone visiting Hochatown or Broken Bow should stop by Girls Gone Wine. They went all-out on the theme and have given so much attention to detail on everything. It's just fun!
It's definitely catered to women, but everyone is welcome. Check your masculinity at the door and enjoy all things pink and feminine for an hour or so. The women in your life will appreciate you for it.
We have visited 3 times for a tasting, and Miranda has served us at least the last two times. She was so great and enthusiastic about the story of the establishment, and she gave us other recommendations for while we are in town.
The wine is somewhere between "just okay" and "pretty good." If you're a wine snob, this isn't the place for you, but it was never meant to be. This is a place to let loose with friends and family in a fun atmosphere. Anyone can find some wine they'll enjoy- even the visitors who aren't typically wine drinkers. There's two tastings: one with sweet wines and one with dry wines. Even the dry wines were still a little sweet and fruity.
Book a wine tasting in advance, and enjoy the experience. Everyone can enjoy it at least once, and we will be back to...
Read moreSo Girls Gone Wine is a staple every time we visit Oklahoma. This recent visit was maybe my 5th or 6th time there. We were very excited as we bragged about this place to 2 ladies that had never been to the cabins in Oklahoma!! I was excited to see all the additions. Sadly to say, we were disappointed! The ladies seemed rushed and almost annoyed that our party was large. They were not warm, engaging and pleasant as my prior visits. Our wine tasting was rushed and she did not crack one smile! When she shared the story about the inspiration behind the Friends bottle , she emphasized that it was a "white woman" that worked there and lost her battle with cancer! We were touched by the story without the need to hear the ethnicity! I also heard Them yell at another party to get back until they called for them. Then we asked the bartender to take our picture since she had NO ONE at the bar and she was visibly annoyed with the request. We just left! I am sooo disappointed but it's great to see that other wineries have popped up since our last visit. The culture has really...
Read moreMy husband and myself along with 2 other couples, were recently there from Louisiana on a friends weekend. Saturday, January 18,2025. We heard lots of wonderful things about the GGW! We checked in and got a buzzer. We were buzzed and went to turn it in the young lady redish hair. "Said oops didn't mean for you guys. It was an error. We were certainly judged. The group that went before us came in after. Guess what they didnt even purcahse not one single thing. Even they apologized for the host behavior. We did end up staying and patiently waited for another turn. We all purchased 2 bottles each and the orange dreamsicle mixer. We just didn’t have a good experience, and it made us feel like we were not “good enough” for their shop. Overall, the store was neat but a little disappointed in the wine tasting experience and the treatment from the host. We are returning in May, but unfortunately, we won't be back to the GGW. I encouraged others to try the other wineries in the area. We were welcomed and treated like customers at the other places...
