I have not been here, and nor will I ever visit here. The manager of this cabin has absolutely refused to respond to my family and I in regards to the refund of a booking that was literally canceled a mere few hours later. It was booked at night, after hours online and before the beginning of the business day the day after, we canceled it due to realizing it could not best accommodate my very crippled elderly father. My retired parents, who are on a very limited income like to rent a cabin every fall for all of us as a family to enjoy as our one family outing every year. It appears the manager is money hungry and is refusing to give them their money back, around 425 to 450 that she's just taking from them with zeeeeero remorse.
Let me make this clear, if they were canceling reservations several days later, or a week or month late then I would completely understand not getting a refund, for she would lose money. BUT, she knows and anyone else would know that this is beyond ridiculous because it was just a matter of a few mere hours after. She asked for very personal info to validate why we needed to cancel. Not going to happen. We told her why and that should be good enough. For a "Christian owned" cabin, this manager is proving that they are all business and no heart. I told her I'd be doing this and I'm sure she'll try to come back with some kind of "read the contract" garbage but it's the principle of it that is so disturbing. I really didn't want to go this route but what do you expect when you are perpetually ignored. I'm sure she'll respond to this though. Next up, reporting to the BBB and other online outlets.
ps - hey manager, I didn't mention your name because I don't feel the need to get nasty about all of this. I'm not that kind of person. And, if you respond to this, I won't ignore you whatsoever and will be more than happy to remove the bad rating, once you've gave back to my poor parents what you've kept for yourself.
