Northside Ice Cream — Restaurant in Hochatown

The young tall caucasian girl staff with the glasses was rude in servicing us with 4 children. We were wearing face masks while ordering the ice cream while the staff did not, as this is COVID time. We let her know that it was our first time here and ask which flavors are good or which are customer favorites but she did not want to answer. She did not want to answer other questions. She was impatiently asking "is that all" when no other customers were behind us. Then when another caucasian family came in behind us while she was scooping our last order, the child of the mom asked the mom if there were oreo? ice cream, but the young girl server politely and sweetly answered the question for the young boy without even directly asking to the young girl server. So she was willingly answering a question that was not even directed at her, and politely serving the caucasian family, but was very rude to our family and children. Was it because we are asian? We sure did feel uncomfortable (rac...) from this particular young tall staff with the glasses during the rude service from this event. The check out young girl staff was nice. This is a service place. It would be nice to be treated fairly. Customers beware....

First, I have had nothing against this place in the past. I have always enjoyed my experience. But. Y'all seriously need to make up your mind in the hours. There are plenty of reviews here complaining about the closing time. Do you realize that this is costing you business? We got here around 8:15 and after my family and I along with another couple were taken care of, they locked the door and turned off the open sign. It was 8:25. After that 5 more cars rolled in wanting ice cream and had to leave. One of the employees was unprofessional in handling a customer trying to ask about the hours. She simply just shook her head, instead of opening the door and giving the customer an explanation. Better off going to the other ice cream place where the employees...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Looked up a good place to get some ice cream with the family after enjoying a family dinner. Came upon Northside on Google and saw they were open until 8:30pm at Old West Town. As soon as we opened the door at 6:45pm we were greeted by an employee that informed us that they were closed even as people were still inside enjoying their ice cold treats! We werent coming to play mini golf or do anything else, except buy some ice cream and leave. Instead we werent even able to get a foot in the door before it was shut on our faces. We were appalled at such rude behavior from a place of business in a tourist town. We will NEVER return to this ice cream shop during any of our next...
