I want to reply to the following review, because I think they misunderstood. The owner was offering to let them eat for FREE and bring him money next time. I know several people including a coworker and my mother who have not had cash and paid him during their next visit. Blane is an awesome person! He keeps his prices low because he is not paying credit card fees to MC and VISA.

QUOTE: "Was super excited to try this place after hearing good things about it. My fiancé and I ordered 2 burgers and a home fry (when the guy making everything decided to acknowledge us), the guy acted very irritated. When we walked in we weren’t greeted, nor did the guy say he’d be with us in a moment, he completely ignored us. I was worried they didn’t take cash because the cash register looked old as hell, so when we asked the guy he told us no he didn’t take cash. Then proceeded to say “just get it next time bud” as in the next time we have cash I guess we’d be allowed to order. I understand having bad days but he could have said “I’ll have it ready, if you need to run and grab cash” We just left, who doesn’t take card?! It’s 2023, nobody I know carries cash! No thanks, we won’t be back. The only reason this place gets business is because of all the old people that were sitting in there. Very disappointing, at least we know not to give this...

I like to find new small businesses when I'm out of town. So when I found myself hungry in Lancaster this morning my boyfriend and I decided to hit up google for a small independent restaurant suggestion. The pictures on google had my boyfriend at double bacon cheeseburger. So we headed into the unknown. When we got there the ruffly five million stickers on the front door let us know we were in for a dive experience. If that didn't make it clear enough the massive stack of empty egg cartons and sign over the second door in hand writing assuring us the establishment was open definitely sealed the deal. This place is a one man show that has the feel that his wife said his buddies couldn't keep coming over for lunch, so he started a restaurant to show her! I think I might have been the only woman to ever come to this place. It's like Cheers for older men exclusively. All that said, the food was phenomenal, definitely the place to go if you are nursing a hangover and need delicious but extremely greasy food. The prices were dirt cheap and the service was great....

This is a little honey hole. We had burgers and they were good, but the staff and environment was what made the experience. The kitchen is in the seating area and the guy working the grill was constantly chatting with everyone, making sure everything was good and everyone was happy. I really want to give this place a bad review so we can keep it local and to our own. However these folks were busting their as#$s and they deserve to cash in on what they are doing. If your looking for a main stream type dinning experience, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a good local feel, with great atmosphere, this place is it. I had to clean our table. There was not a waitress working when we went in. Go up and talk to them to place your order. Drinks are in the fridge, grab what you want. Yeah the grill may not be clean, he might be short when they get busy, you my not get waited on hand and foot, but I loved it. Hopefully that will keep the other crowd at Applebee's....

I found out about this place by way of a social media friend. My wife and I brought good friends here today for the double cheese burger and fries... FANTASTICALLY DELICIOUS!!!! I've been wanting a really good "greasy spoon" burger joint for some time. Not only is it a greasy spoon, it's a dive! and I don't mean that in a bad way! I saw one man doing the grill another prepping. Average time for food to come to table was not bad. Seems that the customers are really friendly. I met a 90 yr old Korean war vet who did NOT look 90! He was chiseled. Said he comes there daily for the past 60 years,..... PS: to the young lady named Faith, who gave one star...that's a "good for you", as all those who think like you and don't return, just means more of this goodness for us old folk.

It's one of the best hamburgers we have had in a while. Fresh and made to order. You can watch it being made. Small area. Hometown feel. Locally-owned long time business. Loved the history and how the gentleman were playing cards at one of the tables. Don't drive by and think you already know the food. Walk in and try it. Gave a 4 for inside mostly only because it's old building not alot of up dates but that gives it alot of charm. Bathrooms are up stairs (side note) Stop in and give them a try. Also...cash only !!! If we are in area again this is a repeat place for sure. Go and get you some hometown feel cooking. Also it's clean!
