The Connection Cafe — Restaurant in Holbrook

We’ve been loyal customers of your restaurant for years—even before the change in management. While some of the menu updates haven’t been our favorites, we’ve continued to come because the food has remained consistently good. Unfortunately, the level of service has declined significantly, and I feel it’s important to bring this to your attention.

My boyfriend has ordered the same sandwich multiple times (sausage, egg, and cheese—add sausage, add bacon). On his most recent visit, the order was incorrect and missing an added sausage. When he mentioned that he had ordered and received the sandwich this way before, a woman—possibly the manager—told him it wasn’t possible to add the extra sausage into the system and that he hadn’t been charged for it previously. This was not true, as he’s consistently paid around $11 for that order, compared to $8 and change this time. Rather than correcting the mistake, she dismissed the concern entirely.

This is not the first time we’ve experienced subpar service here, and it’s disappointing given how long we’ve supported this restaurant. I would strongly encourage better staff training and oversight to ensure customers receive accurate orders and courteous service...

I am really impressed with The Connection Cafe I ordered pancakes this morning and they are huge I have never seen pancakes so big in my entire life everyone in there is really friendly excellent atmosphere excellent food I would give The connection Cafe 10 stars if I could I wasn't expecting the pancakes to be gigantic no really the pancakes are huge hats off to all of the employees in there I almost got seated when I was taking my order to go but no worries because the tall gentleman didn't know if I was dining in or taking my order to go I give him 10 stars for politeness and courtesy as well as everyone else because they all work so hard in there I am not complaining I am complimenting everyone for their professionalism and service not only are the pancakes gigantic they are the best pancakes I've ever had in my entire life keep up the excellent work everyone because you all work so hard and I appreciate everyone of you for your heroic effort and Delicious tasting pancakes I really enjoyed the pancakes and I will be back eventually because the food is excellent...

For breakfast in Holbrook this is my favorite weekend destination. It would be my favorite weekday destination, but I'd take too long savoring every last bite. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Owner is clearly proud of the place. Menu is large and prices might seem a bit high, but the quality is outstanding.

That's breakfast... Lunch can be a bit of a gamble. I've had great experiences, and one or two I'd rather forget. The "A Team" might stick to weekend breakfast shifts. Still the food is still great. Seems to take a bit longer than it should coming out of the kitchen considering the volume (lunch is never as packed as breakfast). That being said if you get the right server it's still worth it.

They're trying a new night time venture. Pretty sure it's only a few nights a week for now while they figure it out. SMART!

All in all a great place. I recommend it highly and wish the owners the best of luck. Holbrook needs more...
