We normally get subway from the store in Shallotte but for the last year or so they've hired a couple folks that make it a nightmare to order food there. So considering the holden beach store isnt much further for us to drive we decided to give them a go. The seating area was clean and well kept. The employees were friendly and attentive. And the food looked much better than what we were getting in Shallotte. But..... We get home and one sub was on the wrong bread which we should have caught at the time but didn't. The 4 churros were cooked to death and only 2 of them were edible. But what got me was while unwrapping my 12" sub I noticed what I thought to be a hair. I didn't even take a bite. I took it back with the "hair" in a bag and the lady gave me back my money for the sub and assured me that what I believed to be a hair was in fact a bristle from some sort of cleaning brush that had made it's way into the water they use to clean the knives. I was never showed the brush so I can't deny or confirm that it was what she said. So if you're eating from here inspect your meal and make sure there aren't any foreign objects floating around in your meal. We will most likely eat here again in the future but most likely not...

I asked if I could use the coupon on the Subway app and was told by Alexis that this was a privately owned Subway and they do NOT use coupons or the app. After getting to the register I noticed a large sign saying, “Free Food? Yes, Please!” and the fine print said “download the Subway App to get deals and earn rewards.” I asked Alexis/cashier about this and she couldn’t explain the app. I attached the photo. I understand that not all restaurants participate in all promotions, but why post the sign if you aren’t one of the participating Subways? This obviously is a horrendous amount of money being lost? Now here it is it's an hour later than the time posted!
