I want this place to succeed because it isn't holiday. The star of the show here is smoked wings. But there has to be a way to sell them cheaper. You pay a super premium price for eight wings. Growing up we used to have $0.10 wings and then they went up to $0.25 wings... But the prices they are now... Super high! I mean you could charge that much for big jumbo wings why not have smaller wings at a lower price that way people can taste the spicy peach sauce.. which tastes good but could actually be a little bit hotter. I would like you guys to offer a dry rub option maybe a couple of them especially with the smoked wings. Why not have smoked fish deals? Smoke a pizza? Another thing I would do is double the size of the bar. Put a little stage inside and have local guitarist playing. Maybe people will even donate some time and play just to get themselves out there. The pizza for me was 3 out of five stars.. It is super thin. It gets cold fast. I don't know why but in Florida they don't like putting sauce on the pizza. Put some extra sauce on there and a little extra mozzarella and you may have a hit throw some basil on there. I think the star of the show is a staff they are friendly really nice people working here so I do want them to succeed. TVs are not enough. Get some cool lights in there. If you're going to do a country theme then make it more country. Why not line dancing on Wednesdays? Let's see...
Read moreBaby Hughy’s Pizza and Burgers is the kind of spot you stumble across once and end up dreaming about afterward. I ordered the cheese pizza, birria pizza, smash burger, and chicken tenders—and every bite was worth it.
The cheese pizza was textbook perfect: the ideal amount of gooey cheese and a crust that was just the right kind of chewy and flavorful. But the real showstopper? The birria pizza. It’s like a birria taco and a pizza fell in love and had a baby—loaded with bold Mexican flavors, juicy meat, and everything you'd want in a comforting, crave-worthy fusion dish.
The smash burger was solid. The patty was well-cooked and flavorful, though I personally would've preferred a different bun. Still, it held together nicely and was satisfying overall.
Now let’s talk about the chicken tenders—wow. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of savory flavor. Pair them with their homemade honey mustard, and it’s next-level good.
On top of the great food, the place has a welcoming outdoor area—perfect for families and groups to hang out, play cornhole, and enjoy the Florida sun. I even spoke with the owner, who mentioned they’re planning to add more outdoor entertainment soon, which just gives me more reasons to come back.
Highly recommend giving this place a shot if you're anywhere near Holiday. It’s not just a...
Read moreUPDATE: Our third visit and something has definitely changed. Pizza wasnt as saucy, sausage was in small bits and cheese wasnt as plentiful or stringy. We wont be returning. ORIGINAL: We enjoyed a VERY flavorful sausage pizza. If you like your sausage in little plops instead of crumbs or slivers, this is delicious! Jai Lai on tap at happy hour prices from 2-6p made us happy campers too. We plan to return for next week's dinner out to try out other menu items. Editing to add: We had the Mexican birria pizza yesterday and it was a bit of a flavor bomb with each bite being a little different bc of all the different toppings. Next we will try the Supreme but my Chicago heart of hearts loves just sausage and that is my test of a good pizza. I was thrilled that the sausage pizza we had the first time was so tasty that it did not even need to be seasoned at the table with the shakers. Perhaps I can even ask for it to be cut in squares☺️ Enough about pizza, let's talk wings! I am very picky and rarely eat them when Himself orders them bc I was so spoiled as a child by a stand serving the original Buffalo wings that had recently opened on a family vacation to Niagra Falls in 67. My main criteria are meaty, naked with super crispy skin. I adored the peach wings there at Baby Hughys and hope that they will consistently be perfection, as we plan to eat...
