As a self-proclaimed cheesesteak connoisseur, I've tried my fair share of cheesesteaks from all over the country. But nothing quite compares to Charley's Philly Steaks.
The Steak
The steak at Charley's is simply divine. It's thinly sliced and cooked to perfection, with a juicy, flavorful texture that melts in your mouth. The meat is seasoned to perfection, with just the right amount of salt and pepper.
The Cheese
The cheese is another key component of a great cheesesteak, and Charley's does not disappoint. They use a blend of American and provolone cheeses that melts perfectly over the steak, creating a gooey, cheesy goodness that is sure to satisfy your cravings.
The Roll
The roll is often overlooked, but it's an important part of the cheesesteak experience. Charley's uses a soft, fresh roll that is slightly toasted, providing the perfect contrast to the juicy steak and cheese.
The Toppings
Charley's offers a variety of toppings to customize your cheesesteak. I personally love their Whiz Wit, which is a combination of Cheez Whiz and American cheese. But you can also get your cheesesteak with mushrooms, peppers, onions, or hot peppers.
The Fries
No cheesesteak experience is complete without a side of fries. Charley's fries are crispy and golden brown, and they're perfectly seasoned with salt.
The Lemonade
If you're looking for something refreshing to wash down your cheesesteak, I highly recommend Charley's lemonade. It's made with real lemons and sugar, and it's the perfect way to cut through the richness of the cheesesteak.
The Service
The staff at Charley's is always friendly and welcoming. They're always happy to answer your questions and help you make the perfect cheesesteak for your taste.

Read moreFood: The 3 bacon Philly was quite tasty. I loved the amount of cheese and meat. The flavors meshed together well. I’ve had a Philly at both of the original places in Philly and I think this one was better.
I ordered the Cajun fries and while I’d love to buy a bottle of their Cajun seasoning, my fries were extremely soggy to the point where I didn’t finish them.
I ordered a Coke Zero with no ice and got exactly that, which is increasingly rare in the fast food place. Kudos for getting my special request (no ice) right.
Service: the order taker was knowledgeable about the menu and guided me to something I liked quickly and efficiently.
However he (Gregory according to my receipt) seemed to be the only person working this day. From the time I got in line, placed my order and got my food all in all it took about 25 minutes. I marked the time so that I could mention that in the review. Likewise I notice the time I ordered as recorded on the receipt did not match the time I wrote in my notes that I had placed the order. Just looking at the receipt it took 2 minutes from order to my food coming up. Looking at my notes it was 24 minutes and 48 seconds. There were quite a few cars behind me by the time I got my food.
Atmosphere: not sure how to grade a drive thru on this point - but it was average drive thru decor. Completely with the rancid odor of marijuana billowing out of the car ahead of me.
Portions: I received more food than I Expected.
The price was considerably more than I expected potentially prohibitively so. $18+ for an excellent cheese steak, soggy fries and a 20+ minute wait during a busy lunch break...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would ! Placed an online order while sitting in the drive-through because it wouldn’t allow me to customize my items the way I desired therefore I placed it while being at the speaker. Jackie placed me on hold for more than five minutes at the speaker and then when finally addressed told me that I wasn’t able to customize my food because it was already made mind you I sat in the driveway for five minutes prior to her answering me. I then explained that I wasn’t able to edit to my liking from the phone and she then explained that that was not her problem that the food was already made. I absolutely love Charlie’s and Have been going to for years, but this location always has a nasty attitude cashier. This time her name was Jackie. I am a manager to another franchise and have been working with customer service for 12+ years. She definitely needs a new job. Her attitude was very poor. Her manners were very poor and she did not Address any of my concerns as supposed to do so in her job description. So due to Jackie and her well dis mannered behavior, I will no longer be a valued customer!!!!!!!!!! And I also have the pictures to prove everything! Upon asking to fix my items, she purposely ruined both my sandwich !! Since when does pickles come on chicken California...
