I would like to update this post as I overreacted and handled this badly at the time. Here's the thing: On that particular day we were all involved in doing annual inventory for our company, which is nerve racking, frustrating, time consuming, and tedious. We were also on edge because we had other responsibilities that demanded time and attention. My colleague just did not have the time to sit and mess with the website in trying to place our order, and it was eventually ordered over the phone. It also cost us more time than expected and we ended up eating lunch much later, which impacted everything else the rest of the day. I was the one who had talked them in to trying My Pie Pizza and it did not go over well - except - when their pizzas did arrive, they ate every bite and said it was great! Given this little drama, I was pretty sensitive and on edge when my very favorite pizza was totally wrong. The proverbial 'last straw.' Ergo, the one star review. Bad timing, unfortunate circumstances, and hey - Mercury was transiting the Sun on 11/11 no less! Instead of posting a one star review, I know I could have kept my woe to myself, contacted them, and they would have immediately made everything right and to my satisfaction. I remain a fan of My Pie Pizza and appreciate the delicious food, best tasting crust anywhere, and the friendly staff and atmosphere at the Holladay location. I would and do recommend it to everyone.
We ordered 4 pizza's on 11/11/19, along with an order of Garlic Knots. One of the orders was for a 'Grandma's Classic Pie' with additional caramelized onions and mushrooms. I usually get it with cauliflower crust, but they were out of both gluten free and cauliflower crust choices. What we found when I got the delivery back to the office was not anything close to being a 'Grandma's Classic Pie.' It looked to be lots of cheese, some marinara sauce and maybe shredded basil buried in the cheese. Also, when we attempted to place the Order from their website, we could not get it to work and had to call the order in instead. Perhaps this order is still in limbo, which includes the American Express card number. I am a regular customer of My Pie and am very disappointed in today's experience as this was the first time I was able to influence my co-workers to give this store a try. In spite of the experience they did like the pies they ordered and received. Me -...
Read moreI am being generous with the 2 stars only because my wife liked the flavor. We did a progressive dinner where we went to several places in Holladay, we visited Harmon’s deli, My Pie Pizza and ended up at Reams in Cottonwood Heights. The pizza was ok, I am sitting here reading the reviews and how great and helpful the staff was. We had just the opposite experience. We were rushed to make a decision all the while we were being stared at by the employee. It was obvious that we were first time guests and he didn’t offer help or suggestions. We chose the Grandma pizza only to find out that we didn’t get extra toppings. I don’t think I have had a plain cheese pizza in over 40 years! To make matters worse and I am assuming, but there was a woman who I think might have been the manager coming down on the little African American girl quite harshly. If she messed up she should get a talking to just not in front of customers. The little girl took it gracefully then helped us and she was as sweet as could be. I was impressed that she didn’t get angry after the verbal assault. I give her 5 stars! The place was a little busy but I don’t think the staff was organized well enough to handle the customers. The eating area was dirty. We observed a customer wiping down her own table. We were glad ours was to go. I don’t think we...
Read moreI typically enjoy eating at this restaurant enough, but tonight the service was terrible. I tried to order wings, salad and knots before putting in our pizza orders because the wings take quite a long time. The worker was adamant that I place that portion of the order at the end of the pizza assembly line. That's fine, but it would have been quite simple for him to ask one of his 4 or 5 coworkers standing around to start on that portion of our order - there was no one else in line and only one other small group eating in the restaurant at this time. Anyways, I followed their rules and ordered the wings, salad and garlic knots at the appropriate location. My kids got their pizzas and then we waited for the salad, knots and wings. After 15 minutes of waiting and when my kids were basically done eating, I got up to check on the rest of our order. The employees were dancing, chatting and cleaning in preparation for closing, but with all of that fun, they forgot about the rest of our order and hadn't even started it. They offered to make the food and put it in to go containers, but honestly, after the whole ordeal and their lack of any type of apology, I just cancelled the order, got the refund for those items...
