Let me start by saying I rarely leave bad reviews. I genuinely feel for the plight of owning a business. I love giving the benefit of the doubt, and it takes a lot for me to do this, but enough is enough.
So for whatever reason my 9 year old loves this place. Iām not a big ābagel guyā, but Iām sure by bagel standards go, they are good. However, even when the line is short, it takes forever. Itās just a poorly ran operation. Invest in more training, better employees, SoPās, whatever it may be. When you have a line out the door and 30 minute ticket times, Iām sure you could figure it out if you wanted to. But maybe you just donāt have to.
They are always apologetic for the wait. We always get one bagel, and one bagel only. Itās plain, toasted and with cream cheese. Today we were the second person in line, and it took ten minutes. All the kid employees were trying to figure out why a call in order was missing. Literally just one of you take my order, while the rest of you figure this out. They finally figured it out, took my order, and may I remind you nothing else was going on, my bagel sat in the toaster until I finally went and asked for it.
Ten minute ticket times for a bagel with no line and these high prices are unacceptable to me. People love the cute nostalgia so you can run a D+ operation, I suppose. I talk to regulars and they all agree, but they said you just kinda know what youāre signing up for when you go there. Pretty good bagels, long waits, and a poorly ran pricey business. But hey, we sign up for it! Thereās a light at the end of the tunnel though, my daughter is finally starting to get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām trying not to shop or eat at big corporate outfits anymore. This place is what I needed. Nice family owned and operated with good conversation with welcoming faces. Give you an idea I accidentally dropped $100 dollars on the floor I was trying to keep separate from my money due to it being money gathered for a coworker that passed. Called them a few hours later not expecting much, but instead they told me they had it! Came in the next day to pick it up. That is another story entirely because when I got there a lady in line started complaining quite belligerently to the workers that they need to stop talking to customers so much and just ātake my Fing orderā. The two ladies behind the counter took it well and helped the young Karen actualize her place in the world. I was in the service industry a long time and a fake smile goes long way, and thatās what these ladies did. So⦠if ur a Karen maybe Go to your local drive through. If you want quality and a real hospitality go to Ricks Bagels!
Thanks for holding my cash!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI paid about $10 for my sandwich after tax, which is a bit higher than I normally pay for lunch. I felt like I got really good value compared to similarly priced options. :)
I asked for all the veggies on my sandwich and Rich piled them high. I got a Turkey Gouda Cranberry sandwich because Rich said that was the most popular. I had it on a jalapeƱo bagel at his recommendation. Dang, it was good. The spiciness made all the flavors work awesome. And the cranberry jam/sauce stuff was probably the best part.
The vegetables were all very fresh, and they even had sprouts, which I love.
The shop was busy, but still had plenty of seating at about 12:30 pm on a Friday. I think a lot of people get their food to-go, but I know I would have no reasonable hope of eating that sandwich while driving. Maybe some people just get bagels. š¤·
The shop is a little independent mom and pop operation, but it's not old or run down. It's clean, nice, and very friendly.
I definitely recommend...
