Hello Fairfield inn! Reason why you're review is a 2 star, went from a 5 star to a 2 star. Reason is, I called and booked my room same day I was told $140 I had no issue with it until 1) my son walked in wanting a room too and you charged him $130 for his room. 2) I just checked my account and you're charging me $170? For my room? What??!! Why? Then the next day we wanted to stay another night I get it's going to cost little more cause it's a weekday or what ever so it was another $160 to stay in the same room we had UNTIL I noticed you did NOT charge me $160 you charged it for $180. Pardon me you can't say one price to someone's face then turn around and charge them without know $20-$40 dollars more! Everything else was awesome the pool the staff everything. Minus you all taking extra money from me that wasn't mentioned you guys legit stoled. Ray!! The food Manger for breakfast was over the top! He knew I had a early flight home to wa state after dropping my only adult child off in utah for a new adventures. He went out of his way to make sure we had some breakfast before we left home. He feed us earlier then normal and for that Ray thank you! I tipped him no issues!! This man deserves a raise! I'll be calling my bank about the extra charges and you guys...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for three nights while skiing at the Cottonwoods. First off, the hotel is brand new and the staff are all very friendly. With that being said, I stay at Marriott’s 75+ nights a year and was pretty disappointed. When I first checked in, I was told I was getting upgraded to a king suite which was very nice but not expected. Upon going up to my room, It was a regular handicap room and not suite. I went down to the front desk just to see if I could move rooms to a non-handicap room (didn’t even care about the suite part) and was told that was not possible. So much for loyalty.
Second off - the rooms are not sound proof at all. I am a heavy sleeper and could hear every conversation the room to the left and right of me were having, totally unacceptable for a new hotel.
Next, the parking lot was a sheet of ice when I checked-in (and not salted my entire stay). I basically had to ice skate into the hotel and slipped twice doing so (not even exaggerating).
Finally, the water in the shower was luke warm at best. The last thing you want after a long day on the slopes is a cold shower. The hotel is probably trying to save on energy costs.
Overall, there are much better options nearby. I likely...
Read moreLooks like a fairly nice hotel but I wasn’t able to check in. I didn’t have my license and I understand that was my fault. I spoke with two girls, Hannah and Emma or Emily I believe and they were very nice but the woman I had to deal with on the 14th of July at approximately 3pm was very rude. She didn’t even want to listen to me and barely replied to anything I said. I understand policies ( so no need to reply the generic “that’s our policy”) but she really was very rude. I forgot my ID…I’m not a criminal and we all end up in a bind sometimes. I managed to stay at another nice hotel but was left feeling pretty crappy after dealing with her. I didn’t catch her name. I appreciated them not charging me even though it was after my window of cancellation but I had called ahead to ask (regarding lack of ID) and wasn’t able to get a solid answer. Anyway..looks like a nice hotel and the other two girls were nice but that woman basically stood there until I left and really wouldn’t engage with me. I’m sure working front desk is a fairly miserable job but no need to treat decent...
