Slow and rude - Dine In service: I stood at the register for a good 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order, the gentleman in front of me waiting longer than I had, struck up a conversation with me which helped pass the time. After 5 minutes he walked out. I continued to wait, they were busy. Thankfully my mother-in-law ordered for her and my son since they arrived before me. I watched two women, one being a manager, prepare orders and pass to the customers waiting for their food. I did manage to get notived, the manager looked at me when handing an order to another customer. That was it. She could not take time to simply say I am sorry for the wait will be with you in a moment. I was never acknowledged. I suppose I could have utilized my other ordering options, use the self service kiosks or placing my order on the app and sitting in my car until they brought it to me which may have been quicker. However, I do not dare take the risk. There is not any hand sanitizer readily available, and how am I supposed to know that everyone that has touched the screen has washed their hands or are not fighting off an illness such as the flu. Finally the manager was giving another customer their food; I had waited patiently, without any acknowledgement of my existence, still I kindly asked is there someone that can take my order. She (the manager) said, "yes but she's trying to get some of these food orders out," and without skipping a beat she turned around and walked away. Are you kidding me? For the amount of time I waited, it would have taken them less than 2 min. to simply take my order. Finally the other lady walks over, low and behold ... with an attitude, and says, "what do you want?" I order my shake, and tried lightening the mood. I said to her, "you're super busy, I know it is not your fault, they have you doing the job of two people," and even thanked her for taking my order. I guess that did not work. I did not get any response other than "anything else," "dine-in or carry-out," and my total. Not A thank you or have a good day. I went to hand her my money, her hands were shaking. I thought ... wow did I upset her that bad by asking for service? The answer is yes, her attitude was clear. Regardless, I kindly thanked her and then waited for my shake. I will say my son's food was fresh. I definitely want to give a shout out to the older gentleman that cleans the dining area, he works his tail off and he was very pleasent. He is a very kind man and it's great to see that some still have a...
Read moreA friend and I took our children there to eat and play. We each had an order via mobile on our phones (app). The orders didn’t go through completely so we had to go to the register to let them know. The First Lady I encountered was very rude, didn’t know what she was doing. She had to call a coworker (possibly manager) over to help. He was able to partially fix the issue, but had to call someone else over to help. This lady could barely fluently speak English. She was rude too, had an attitude while telling me I couldn’t use two phones for separate orders with coupons. When that isn’t what I was trying to do.
Then in the play place, I decided to clean 2 high chairs with sanitary wipes before my friend and I used them for our two youngest children. An older man came in (one who is responsible for cleaning), and made a remark “those are clean I just got through spraying them.” Well I wanted to wipe them down just for extra safety precautions. Later he made another remark about our coats and diaper bags being on the table and benches, saying “did you bring the whole kitchen sink or what?”
Anyway, I would not recommend going to...
Read moreI don't often go out of my way to review a restaurant. The crew at this McDonalds went above and beyond to make my experience work.
I tried to order a Peppermint Hot Chocolate, but the machine to make it was being cleaned - totally fine, it was late at night so that's probably the best time to clean it. I ordered a coffee instead.
Here is why I am leaving the review. After asking for the coffee, I was surprised when the girl taking my order (Angelica) asked if I would like them to put the peppermint flavoring in my coffee, free of charge. Now, I know it doesn't cost the company a lot to do this, but it was a really simple way to make up for not being able to make the hot chocolate by coming as close as possible to my original order. Most people don't go out of their way to do that. Mad respect, Angelica.
When I received the coffee, the manager wanted me to try it before driving off, as they had never added that to coffee before. If it didn't taste good, she said she'd remake it. So I tried it and it tasted really good. Its the little things like this that will make me drive past a closer McDonalds to go back to this...
