I recently visited here and was disappointed by both the food and service. I posted a 2 star review based on a single bartender during peak times and the small portion size of the food. Someone affiliated with Cheers reached out to me, offering a gift certificate to try it again. Impressed by this outreach, I told her I would try again and that a certificate was unnecessary, as I wanted to provide an unbiased review.
I returned a week later, and arrived during a non- peak time. The service was certainly better, and I was impressed by the selection of beers on tap.
However... I ordered the shrimp platter (at roughly $10) and received a total of 6 mid-size shrimp and a handful of fries the size of McDonald's fries. By a handful, I mean 25 (yes, I counted). The only sizable part of the meal was the side of Cole Slaw, and who eats that unless they're starving? (I was starving: I ate it)
I was able to watch my desired game, but as it wasn't a prime time game, it was on a small screen with no sound or closed captioning.
My opinion: it's a decent watering hole, but it needs to either commit to being a sports bar or a bar/ restaurant. As it stands now, I recommend eating elsewhere beforehand (or be prepared to spend a good deal of $, as one portion/ entree simply qualifies as a "snack") and then come in and enjoy a drink or two, and hope that your chosen football game is a primetime game, or else be prepared to watch on a small screen in a corner.
According to the Google rating system, 3 stars means it's "Just Okay". That sounds...
Read moreApparently adults can't order kids meals here although I have three kids and was fresh off work ordering food for them. But i went ahead and ordered the regular meal and split it between my children and the money that I would've spent on a tip went towards that instead. I've never heard that an adult can't order a kids meal.... like was my 5 and 3 year old supposed to call and order themselves or walk up to the bar and order it. Response to Camden - I wasn't planning on returning no way lol. And I have a receipt actually i have two receipts from when i ordered takeout here so my review is very much valid sir. However, I have kids and if I want to order a TO GO meal for them I should be able to. I can afford to buy two kids meals and my meal as i planned on doing until your bartender said I couldn't order food for my kids so im not sure why your insulating that i cant afford it. I was no longer interested in dining here ever again anyway. I work a few buildings down, just wanted to grab food before going home. I would never dine here and havent dined here as the atmosphere here was already unwelcoming. I'm MORE than glad to take my...
Read moreIt’s actually really hard to get a poor rating to this place. It’s really really hard to give a piss poor rating to this place. The bartenders and the bar staff are always friendly and fun. The food is normally really good. One of the cooks does overcook my burgers every time though. But that’s not the reason of this review. tonight I was in there And had a couple drinks and ordered food. The ticket time for my food was over 30 minutes. All I ordered was a Philly cheesesteak sub, and tater tots. 30 plus minutes for a sub. Even the bartender commented on how long it took. Now, I’m literally there on almost a daily basis because with the hours I work dinner is easier there. I order food almost daily. But tonight when I complained about how long it was taking the owner came out, got right in my face and asked if I had an issue? I said it’s taking to long to get my food. And he said well we’re busy. Let’s just argue with the customer. Mind you, I’m sitting at the bar. I’m seeing the food that’s coming out. All I ordered was a sub and tator tots. 30 plus minutes. I’m seriously debating even going back after how...
