Black Dog makes excellent food! It’s a great spot to meet up with friends. I usually go for breakfast. My food always comes out hot and fresh, and the homemade bread is delicious (try the English muffin toast!). My go-to is a veggie omelet. I’ve heard the sandwiches and baked oatmeal are also very good. I’ve had their lunch items as well and have never had a bad order. Be sure to save room for a baked good, their cookies are outstanding!

STAY AWAY- Got food poisoning here multiple times and asked previous employee(s) since the last time I had to be hospitalized so - allegedly the kitchen staff doesn’t use gloves (to save money) and the servers do not wash their hands while serving food - and think its “funny” to the employees - the fact they purposefully do not take proper hygienic precautions is a huge red flag! I’m a local and I love supporting local businesses but I am not going to keep having severe food poisoning every time - and I really gave this place multiple tries since I live walking...

I LOVE THE FOOD HERE! What a great place to eat! The people are friendly, I'll say it again-I love the food, and excellent ambience. I always get a fruit crepe. Howevet, I'm sorry but I can't give you a perfect score because you did away with the waitresses (when I go out to eat I enjoy the experience of interacting with the staff and being waited on and tipping) and your prices are high.
