I've only been here for breakfast*
If you have friends from out of town who do not like waking up early, and you want to impress them. This is the place to go.
This place has a huge selection that matches everyone's needs. I do not eat meat, honestly, probably the only place in Blair County that ACTUALLY MAKES vegetarian and vegan food. You won't be getting impossible meat or a salad. This I absolutely appreciate the most. The prices are fair. You can get half a Crepe, and it's still big enough to share. I think mine was 5$, but I'm sure some were 7$ for the half.
Coffee is amazing, and their fusion drinks too. This it a little odd for placement because you must go to the other side. And the 1st time I went, I was so confused about where to go. Buy luckily I was kinda exploring the place and found it. My drink was ruined for sitting so long, but they made me a new one.
Notes for things people might find a deal breaker, nothing bad, you get used to it.
This place heavily relies on the kiosk. I like it because I don't like talking to people to order tbh. BUT, you kinda need to know what you're doing so the 1st time you go, it's different. The last time I went, my friends who had never been there didn't order drinks through the kiosk. Two waited there to order a drink at the bar area. One eas served and got a drink. Then my other friend waited for 4 minutes till he actually said something. They were not busy, and I didn't understand why this happened. It's faster to go to the kiosk and order a drink than going to the bar and getting a drink.
Also, seating. You must get your own seat, now the upstairs it's luscious with room, seats, great place to take pictures. But if someone in your party cannot walk up and down steep stairs, your options are limited (I applaud the staff for being able to go up and down with trays on food). They have an outside open, but it was 95° out. So far, I personally haven't had a good experience outside tbh. Seat downstairs is normally taken, so a larger party it would be hard since the kiosks are placed by there. And the bar room area, which is so beautiful... but the bathroom connections to that room... and one time, I was eating in that room, and someone DESTROYED the bathroom. The smell was so bad that everyone, the people working behind the bar, people passing by to go outside, were all GAGGING!! I had to run upstairs before my food spoiled or i threw up. It was BAD. When I went to leave, it STILL had that smell and ut was still as strong. So I don't eat in that room, anyway there's only one place to sit anyway.
It's a small place, the food is amazing, there are so many options. I will keep taking...
Read moreI have been to the Creperie on several occasions and have tried several different lunch entrees. For the lunch wraps, the "wraps" used are the crepes themselves, which I think is really interesting and unique. I prefer the plain crepes over the savory, and the savory choice is available for an up-charge. I don't think the portions are large, but they are filling. An alternative side to the kettle chips would be nice, although they are very good. I have tried several different wraps, and my favorites are the California and the Turkey/Gouda. Most recently, I tried one of the entree salads, and I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer size of the salad. It lasted me for two lunches. I tried the Cobb salad, and I was really impressed by how fresh and delicious it was. They were very generous with the cheese, avocado, grilled chicken, and bacon. This would also be a very good HF/LC option dependent on the choice of dressing. Best yet, the price was right. I think I would return again for this salad. During the summer, the back patio is open for seating, and I find this to be a really relaxing atmosphere for lunch. On busy days, service can be slow (I once waited over 45 minutes and had to get my order to go), but I have also been lucky and had amazingly fast service (less than fifteen minutes). The only downside to sitting inside on the first floor is that it tends to be too hot or too cold if the weather outside is also too hot or too cold. Lastly, I really like that their menu is all available for online ordering and pick-up. It is a nice option to have in a...
Read moreExperienced this place for our first time today (Father's Day).
From the second we walked in (looks like a house with a picture window for the most part from the outside), we were mesmerized by the (what appeared to be) pressed tin ceilings and the open kitchen.
Watching the artful creation of crepes being made before one's eyes does EVERYTHING to motivate the taste buds!
We all ordered crepes except for one who chose a crab cake.
Even had a Dirty Soda (shortcake) as I never experienced that previously.
We sat out on the patio and I swear - it wouldn't be hard at all for one to mentally envision oneself in another country altogether there on a beautiful day! The ambiance (I call it a vibe but ambiance is what this place exudes really) this place has is one that I can't put my finger on an exact explanation but - it kept me looking around the next corner to see what fancy finds were in that room while there!
The FOOD - ohhh the crepes were DEFINITELY worth the visit alone! The ABC crepes were fantastic! Beautifully presented, the crepes were feather thin and the entire meal just screamed of robust flavors.
The Lumberjack crepes were deceiving. At first glance I'd thought I got a burrito by mistake. One knife cut in and it was clear - this crepes was not the gentle feather thin crepes to be had with the ABC - no - these crepes had muscle but yet had that texture that only a crepes can provide.
The whole experience was really crave worthy and we will definitely be back!
