What’s the craziest fun thing you have eaten? This was it for me! A Seafood tower! Lobster, yes. Shrimp, yes. Crab, yes. Oysters, absolutely yes. My favorite! #principal #springbreak #favoritefood #seafood

My dad and stepmom heard about The Blind Pelican on social media, and they came up from Florida for the experience...I came out from Greensboro so we could have lunch together (they'd been here the night before as well). What an incredible experience! The Blind Pelican is a decent sized restaurant at the end of a shopping center, with lots of parking, covered, outdoor seating, and a cozy, nautically themed inside with booth/table seating, and a long bar area. We arrived just before opening, and sat outside until they unlocked the doors (suggested to arrive super early for a front row seat for Bloody Mary construction). We were greeted warmly by many of the staff, who were doing a final wipedown of the place. We were at the hub of the action, mid bar, and were given our food and drink menus. Our bartender/server was Kaitlyn (hope I spelled it correctly), and (I think she said) Blue. Conversation with the staff and other patrons was rather lively and fun. I had a cherry Coke margarita, dad and stepmom had Bloody Mary's. Drinks were delicious, and strong, and were served with our choice of liquor brand. We had the crab dip appetizer; hot, delicious, and big enough for the three of us. For entrees, dad had the salmon, stepmom had the lobster roll, and I had the lobster pasta...the food was prepped, cooked, and served perfectly, allowing us to witness the creation of a couple "sea monsters". Food was well portioned, hot, tasty, and we very much enjoyed our meal without feeling rushed...the whole experience they offer is stellar! (I didn't order it, but I've heard their collard greens are awesome). Though they have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, they also have a kids menu, where the little ones can get non alcoholic creations as well. Overall, I highly recommend The Blind Pelican, and will likely return!

Let me start off by saying how awesome the hostesses and bar tenders were here, super friendly! The waiter we had, not so much. I get everyone has a story that they need to make a little extra cash, and being funny is always a plus. This guy was over the top, and tried entirely too hard. Started out like any other meal, a bit of roasting of the table, couple jokes, then it continued, through the entire meal. I had to check to make sure I wasn’t at a Dick’s Last Resort, that’s just how bad it got. Funny turned to rude, rude turned to feel sorry for me, feel sorry for me turned to I’m better than all of you. Started the story as a single dad from out of state, same story you hear 100 times over from waiters. Then the lingering, let me stand here at the table while you’re all trying to eat and continue to converse in conversation (only with himself since we had all stopped talking and looking at each other like this guy is getting creepy now). Comes back toward the end and then tells us his wife is a stay at home mom and he has multiple houses, and makes enough to support all of them, but… wait I thought you were a single parent that just moved here from out of state? All in all the food was great, although we felt pressured to get the special from him, super weird, order one thing off the menu then he would change it to oh you want x from the special menu? Okay great. No, no we didn’t. Give the place a try for sure, some of the best oysters in the southern wake county area you can find. BUT when you are seated and a bigger guy with a beard and tattoos comes over to be your waiter, either ask to be moved or ask for another server. Myself and the party I was with will not be back because of how awful the waiter was. If they want to continue with his services I would ask that they ask him to lay off the THC pen before coming to work, and give him some extensive coaching on...

We had the Best experience here. We agreed to celebrate my Sisters 52nd Birthday here. We have not been able to celebrate her birthday for the past 2 yrs due to Covid! This celebration was much needed since we lost our Mom during her 50th birthday month (09/30/20) from Covid. We made plans and everyone checked their schedules and this evening was the only time everyone could make it (22 in our party). We called and realized they did not take reservations and the inside was not set up to take such a large party. We decided to take our chances and still keep our celebration plans since this was her wish! The Blind Pelican was on her list of restaurants to visit and she could just never get here. We arrived, I spoke with the Mgr and he told me they would do everything they could and explained the issue with not being able to sit us all at once or together( we were fine with this). I told him, we are at your mercy so wherever you sit us or how you sit us is fine but what we are not going to do was reschedule because we have stalked your FB and IG pages all week and drooled over the drinks. We both laughed

Well the Blind Pelican did not disappoint! WE ALL GOT THE CHANCE TO HE SEATED TOGETHER 🙌🏾🙌🏾 “Look at GOD”! Our Server (Courtney) was the BEST SERVER we had ever encountered! Now we were kind of loud but we were not rude! She smiled, she answered all of our questions and we made sure we made our party accomodating to her!

I would give this place 100million stars 🌟 if I could because this was top notch communication and service! Everyone smiled, they were so nice, professional and the Food and drinks were AMAZING!!!!

Please visit! You will not be disappointed! Thank you Blind Pelican and Staff you Guys made my Sisters Birthday Celebration All...
