UPS Shocks!! Very disappointed with my encounter at this site and the store manager. I shipped my front and rear motorcycle shocks (worth $609 and $620 respectively) to NJ to have them reconditioned. Brought them in the original hard plastic box they came in with the paperwork for the work and coupons for the free refurbishment. I shipped them UPS ground because time wasn't an issue and told the young person behind the counter who processed my paperwork they were worth about $1,000. Box made it to the shipping destination busted open and taped closed with only the front shock, no rear shock or paperwork according to the receiver. Receiver called me immediately to check that it was only the one shock. I called the store in Holly Springs and was told by the manager that UPS would conduct the investigation and make a decision on my claim. I was told again by the manager that I didn't need to provide any information and that if additional information was required I would be contacted by UPS. I was not provided a claim number. After 2-weeks I contacted the manager at the store and was told that UPS had completed their investigation and that I would be contacted if and when UPS would reimburse me for the loss. 3-weeks later I received a call that a check was ready to be picked up. I received a check for $117. I called to discuss the amount with the manager at the store, and was told that I signed the shipping document that the employee had processed which stated the package contents were worth $100, not $1000. I explained that I had a receipt for the shocks, which I offered to provide at the time of the claim, and was told no. I was told that it didn't matter because I signed the paper stating it was worth $100 when it shipped. I contacted UPS customer service who told me this is a franchise store and provided contract services for UPS, not directly affiliated with UPS. UPS will not provide proof of my claim because they contract with the franchise and I have no rights as a consumer with UPS because the contract to ship was with the franchise store and not with me. If you are gong to ship with this store, make sure you check the paperwork thoroughly. I didn't and it cost me. UPS will not stand behind any shipping error as they contract with the store only and your payment is to the store, not UPS. The franchise that has the UPS name will not be held responsible and the store manager is unwilling to provide customer service. As I was told, "your package was shipped by our store as advertised, you signed the document saying it was worth $100, we have provided customer service and processed your claim". Read moreMy grandmother passed and we got a last minute idea (less than 2 days before) to do commemorative bookmarks. When I called for the details 2 hours before the end of the day, the employee was VERY knowledgeable and had great customer service. Anything she didn't know, she was honest and followed up with her manager on details and expectations.
I was able to create a design and emailed it late that night. The next morning, I got a call from manager Joe before the store even opened! He told me he had remembered my call and started his day to check to see if my email came through. He was calling to ensure not only that he could make sure this order could get started as soon as possible but wanted to provide that reassurance and confirm details.
We were running errands and were in the area about 2 hours prior to the time Joe estimated the bookmarks would be done. We called to check in if it was by chance done yet and was informed the order was being processed still. No worries! We understood and didn't mind waiting and we let the employees know it was no worry. Nevertheless they called us back soon after (less than 20 min) and said they were finalizing everything. They were so sweet and also amazing when we picked up the order. The quality was amazing and price exactly what was communicated.
The bookmarks helped make the day of celebrating my grandmother's life so special, and we couldn't have done it without Joe and his amazing team. I left this review to corporate for you all, as well. Thank you...
Read moreI purchased a telescope for a private person from NC to be shipped to MA. He had it packed shipped and insured from this store witch we paid for as part of the price we paid. We received the telescope and lenses smashed. They packed a computerized telescope like it was a textbook. Styrofoam peanuts in a box. How is that professional. So now it was insured but the problem is that normally the check is given to the shipper because the shipper is usually a company that would of replaced my telescope not a private person . He was already paid 450. Margo agreed to have the check sent to us. 6 weeks later and at least a dozen calls to Margo and Ups. I found out today that she gave the check to the shipper. So now the shipper has 900 ,Ups has the telescope and I have nothing. So for 6 weeks Margo has lied to me and given me a attitude. She did nothing to speed this up or even check the status. Now I have to file a lawsuit for Ma to get the money she promised I was getting. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Never once did Margo apologize.
