I went here because of the recommendation of a friend and of a family member that had minor things done here with expected results. I wish I HAD NOT listened to them. I had suspicious areas that I needed checked out and with a family history of skin cancer, it's something I took seriously. I first saw Cari, a PA, who was rather dismissive of my concerns but decided to take some biopsies anyway. She even went as far as to chide me for still being able to feel her cutting me because I asked her to stop and place more local anesthesia in a very sensitive area of the body. When I looked, she had missed a good amount of the tissue in one of areas I had wanted removed because it looked suspect, and the edges of the area she cut were jagged. She said after everything was done that I would be contacted the following Friday, but I wasn't contacted. I finally called to request my results that following Wednesday, over a week after the biopsies were taken and waited hours for a call back. When I did get results it turned out that more tissue was needed because there were suspicious cells from the area where she had missed some of the tissue. I asked to have the results e-mailed and they never were. She still seemed very dismissive of the whole thing but I scheduled again with her colleague Rebecca, another PA and went in for a punch biopsy. She seemed to have a better bedside manner, but as a nurse who stitches people up regularly, Rebecca did not have experience with suture. She didn't hold her instrument correctly, couldn't see where she was stitching, didn't use appropriate technique and now I will probably have to have the scar she created for me excised later once it heals because it will be bad. I am not sure if they do these procedures often, or utilize their skills with sutures often, but how you close the skin is so directly connected to how your excision site will scar, and I am appalled and disappointed. And yes, I did say something but got the generic "I'm sorry you feel that way" response as she continued to struggle on, instead of her finding someone who knew what they were doing. Looking back, I should have asked to do it myself, and I may have to if this wound heals the way I predict it will based on her closure. She should seriously consider taking a suture course and becoming comfortable with the process, technique and instrumentation before she botches another skin closure on someone. I'm sure this place does an acceptable job of placing fillers, doing chem peels and other basic cosmetic procedures, but I highly (HIGHLY) recommend going elsewhere for more serious care if you need biopsies, excisions, or anything that may require stitches. I wish now that I would have gone to someone I knew to have this done, but I wanted to protect my privacy from the people I work with. So much for that- I'd rather share my experience as a warning than continue to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate After my initial review, Thrive representative reached out to me. She listened to all my concerns and offered to refund the consultation fee on my last visit. Changing the rating to 4 due to Thriveās exceptional customer service.
I had hard time losing weight even after following a healthy diet and exercise routine and went to this place for semaglutide. For my first appointment, I was charged $75 consultation fee and was told if I decided to go further the consultation fee will be applied towards the injections. My first visit went well. All my semaglutide related questions were answered and I liked the staff as well. For the first month treatment, I paid additional $300. Although I hated the side effects and realized this was not a healthy way to lose weight, I still decided to continue for another month. For the 2nd visit and injections, I was charged $500 which was confusing. The pricing structure was never explained to me and I was under assumption that the monthly injections would cost $300. $500 a month is a very expensive (also unhealthy) way to lose weight plus you are constantly reminded on every visit that once you stop, you will gain all the weight back. I decided to go back to maintaining weight through healthy lifestyle, and on my last visit, I communicated the same. To my surprise, I was charged $179 āconsultationā fee just to let the nurse know that I will not be continuing the injections. The total visit time was less than 10 minutes and I was never told that there would be a consultation fee. If I would have known, Iād have rather cancel the appointment and never schedule again. It felt like a rip off. Iāve been to other places in the area which provide superior services with total cost transparency. Canāt say anything about any other services but would not recommend for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs you walk into Thrive you immediately notice that the environment is tranquil and well put together. The schedulers are very personable and go above and beyond to be helpful. I received a gift certificate for Christmas and was so overwhelmed with the awesome list of services I started by booking a consult. I met with Bethany and we discussed Vitamin B shots as well as all the services. I was so lucky I got Bethany because she an extensive amount about the vitamin B shots and based on my mammal allergy, knew which shot was ok and which ones has animal products in them. I was so grateful for that knowledge as I have a serious allergy. She was also so knowledgeable about the different treatments and didnāt try to upsell me, but rather chose treatments that were within my budget. She showed me my skin under a special light and explained about what she saw there and about skin and pigmentation. She actually made me feel better about my skin and my aging concerns. My favorite part though was her personality. She is hilarious and fun to chat with. I felt like I was just chatting with a friend. I booked a diamond glo facial per her recommendation. I actually enjoyed the sensation of it and felt so relaxed laying on the heated table. We laughed and carried on the whole time and I was surprised at how quickly the time passed. It was a fun and relaxing experience and my face had a glowy look! She showed me all the dead stuff that had been removed from my face which was pretty cool to see the results of the treatment. I wasnāt planning on it but ended up booking a facial for next month with Bethany! I am excited to see the results of the next facial, which is their $99 special facial of the month. Seriously, head to Thrive, ask for Bethany, and tell her Lucy sent ya! Post treatment pic makeup free and...
