AWFUL SERVICE: Me and a group of friends came out to this Roadhouse location to celebrate a friend's birthday, there were 9 of us in total. We arrived around 8:30 after being on the waitlist for about an hour, we were sat at our table relatively quickly, hosts were not very friendly. When our server Gabby came up to greet us, she had a very monotone voice which immediately set the tone for our visit, it seemed as if we were a bother to her. We were going to request another server but tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. She seemed to be attentive at first, grabbing refills before we had to request them. However, when we ordered our food, she seemed in a rush and did not repeat the order back to us to confirm. When the food came out to the table, one dish was completely wrong (my friend ordered a 16oz. sirloin and received a 6oz. big difference.) This could have been avoided had she repeated the order back to us. Six out of nine of us were able to begin eating because two orders were messed up, and one was never given to us but placed on a table next to ours. Our server, Gabby never pre-bussed the table so it was full of empty cups, appetizer plates, and empty bread baskets which was bothersome to eat around. When one of my friends received her side of corn she began to eat it and discovered that there was a soggy french fry and a macaroni and cheese noodle in the bowl along with her corn, it was disgusting. After we discovered this we had to ask another server for their manager because our server had not returned to our table since we received our plates. Then what looked to be a kitchen manager came to our table, which is crazy that we had to request a manager because at any other location, the manager checks in after the table has received their meal. The manager Dee was very unprofessional and did not introduce himself, when we informed him of our corn with extra sides in it he seemed very insincere with his apology and did not even remove the wrong corn off of the table. Instead, we watched as Gabby and Dee laughed about our complaint. This treatment by our server continued for the rest of our visit, sadly. Our server conveniently apologized right as we were about to pay out because she knew that would determine her tip. If you want "legendary service" or "legendary meals" I highly recommend you go to a...
Read more4/5 Stars – Great food, friendly service, just a couple small misses
I recently ordered takeout from Texas Roadhouse, and overall, the experience was really solid with just a couple things that could be improved.
First off, I had to call in my order instead of placing it online because I wanted a specific customization that wasn’t available on their site. I wanted a loaded sweet potato, but not the usual one with marshmallows and cinnamon sugar. I just wanted it like a regular loaded baked potato—with butter, cheese, sour cream, and bacon. Unfortunately, there was no way to leave comments or customize online, so I had to call and go through a few loops to actually speak to someone. That part was a bit inconvenient.
That said, the woman I spoke with on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful, and she got the order exactly right. When I picked it up, everything was packaged well, and the staff was polite and efficient.
The food itself was great: • Herb-crusted chicken was juicy and flavorful. I added blue cheese crumbles, but that was a bit of a letdown—there were only about two small pieces of blue cheese, and they had mostly melted off and disappeared by the time I got it. I know it’s a $0.79 add-on, but still—it felt more like a tease than a topping. • The sweet potato came with all the toppings on the side, just how I wanted it. Nice touch there. • The green beans were really tasty and seasoned well. • The portion sizes were solid and everything was hot and fresh.
Only other minor thing: I like to add extra salt to my potatoes, and each silverware pack only comes with one tiny salt packet. I didn’t need extra utensils, but I had to grab more just to get enough salt. Not a huge deal, but it’s a bit awkward.
All in all, the food was great, the staff was friendly, and I’ll definitely be ordering again. Just hoping next time I get actual blue cheese crumbles and maybe a better way to customize online without...
Read moreMy family and I went to have a special dinner yesterday and my husband was served a rotten, putrid steak. As soon as the waiters brought our plates to the table, we could all smell what smelled like a dead animal. It was such a strong smell that all three tables around us commented on how bad the smell was. My husband cut into his steak, as we didn’t originally know that was where the smell was coming from. As soon as he cut into it, the steak liquified from the inside. He had already put the bite in his mouth though, and swallowed it. He immediately was sick and he ran to the bathroom to throw up. When I informed the waiters, and brought them the plate to show them the liquified steak and have them smell the strong odor, they just said sorry. All management did was give us two free dinner coupons. We still paid for the meal even though none of us ate our meals after that. My biggest problem is that they didn’t seem to care at all and didn’t mention cleaning the kitchen or checking the other steaks. Every steak cooked with that literally putrid steak had to have been contaminated. I also don’t understand how the cook didn’t smell that awful smell while cooking it or the waiters as they brought it to our table. Management said nothing of checking the kitchen or trying to find resolution other than dinner coupons. Every person who ate last night could be at risk if there is literally rotten meat in their kitchen that they cooked on a shared grill. My mother in law who was with us got sick later in the evening and so did one of our sons. Absolutely disgusting and ridiculous. They need to be accountable. I only wish I had taken a photo of the plate to show the liquid steak, but I was so shocked when it happened I just showed it to the...
