On Saturday stopped by the Yellow Green Farmers Market and enjoyed the most delicious vegan meal. I am not vegan but was willing to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. We had the oxtail with the rice and peas, fried plantain and cabbage and it was delicious (well-seasoned and flavorful). I was impressed by the texture and the appearance of the oxtail and how much it looked and felt like meat. We also had the burrito which my girls enjoyed, the rice and peas combined with the sweet plantains and the jerk sauce was like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. I wish I had more room to try the other items on the menu but from what I had I would definitely recommend if you are in the area to stop by the Di Veagn Yaad Kitchen. This weekend, we tried the new Brown Stew Vegan Fish... simply incredible! And the Jerk Burrito? 😍😍 Let me tell you, after that meal, I had to double-check to make sure I wasn’t eating real fish. 🤓

The woman at the counter was so friendly and welcoming and offered some great recommendations from the fairly large menu. Plantain fries are really tasty, jerk mushrooms (in several dishes) have a like heat but aren't in your face, and the rice and beans are so good. Recommend grabbing a freezing coke juice or smoothie from one of the other stalls to enjoy...
