Solara — Restaurant in Hollywood

I left a review once already it was taken down I’m assuming due to embarrassment and it being damaging to the business here. Traveled here for my sons 4th birthday I booked a 3 night 4 day stay here hoping to have the best time ever. I was disappointed upon our arrival the service was the worst I have ever had, after a three hour plane trip and an hour drive we were held in the lobby for four hours because they insisted on having over $1500.00 to place on hold even though that was not my quoted amount by far, through Expedia. To make matters worse my child and I were forced to sleep in a dirty room with a dirty stained bed. We did not get into our room until 10:00 pm mind you we got there at 5:30 pm. Aside from the most traumatic experience I’ve ever had, this place wasted not one but two days out of our short trip and wanted to charge me for a two nights stay even after I checked out of my hotel. Good food, awful service. It essentially is just a bar but if you sit at the table they will come up and take your order and put it on a tab. After we ordered food they delivered it and ignored us the rest of the night. I would've liked another soda but I couldn't get ahold of anyone so I just went without. The potstickers were pretty good. I liked the bacon cheeseburger and the chicken sliders are decent (though the portions are small). They give you a ton of fries so it makes up for it. A decent drink selection (It is a bar of course).

At night they have live music playing, including a saxophonist who played to a backing track and was very good. It was a fun dining experience but I spent $100 for two meals and an appetizer and the gratuity was shoved in there even though the...

I had just a pizza but as an Italian pizza snob from New York I would not order pizza from The Hotel Bar in the future. My bad. My “pistachios” pizza had crumbles of them but I’m spoiled by a pizza place in Naples, Italy, where I had pistachios cream in addition to the nuggets, and the crust was, well, what you expect in the world’s pizza capital. Today’s was rather plain.
