Difficult/Impossible to get help. It's better to buy online, and wait the extra day or two for your product to arrive. Especially if you need a phone, you could wait well over and hour for help at this Holmde, Nj location. I asked other staff members that that looked available, but they said that only best buy phone department employees could help me. I waited 45 minutes as a watched many other employees chatting with each other and hanging out so they appeared to be not helping any other customers at the moment. However, they were not allowed to help me pay for the phone I needed because it was not their department. AND it is NOT the individual fault of these employees either, it's just a poorly constructed distribution of duty on the part of the corporation. Also, the phones available in best buy were notably cheaper to buy online. So, I waited 45 minutes for the one working employee (who was anointed to hold the appropriate employee ranking to put my money in the cash register, for the phone I wanted to purchase) to be able to assist me. During this 45 minutes this specially trained employee was assisting only one other customer. Now, I would never make assumptions or hard judgments on the reasoning of this employee who is under an authority that I don't really know much about, but I thought it was odd for him to not be able to take my purchase quickly on the register , that was only about 5 feet from where he was standing while another customer was determined in taking their time to carefully choose which phone they wanted. I was on my lunch break from work so, unfortunately, I was not able to stay until closing to see if he would be allowed by the best buy comporation to help me before closing time. I luckily found the phone needed $82.00 cheaper online by easily searching on Google, that comes with a free heavy duty case, instead of the flimsy case offered in store at best buy that are rather expensive for not such a great product. So, I was willing to make the compromise to wait 2 days for my new phone to arrive rather than two days to be assisted by the best buy employees who holds the correct clearance to take money for a purchase for a cell phone at a...
Read moreTom T. our salesman was AWESOME! This review is in no way a reflection of his service he was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. Our problem is with the company proper! We purchased a floor model Samsung washing machine that had all of it's parts including the four leveling feet at the bottom, I checked. When the men delivered it the following week two feet were missing and a third was snapped off. You can not install a washing machine unless it can be leveled properly, no problem they just need to order 3 new feet. BUT am told by the rep on the phone that I will need to talk to Holmdel store so they and NOT the Best Buy Rep can order the parts,ok. Well I call Holmdel store number and am on hold for 13 minutes then find out it's not the Holmdel store ok please help me it is a simple problem. Get transferred again 15 minutes wait and long ..... story short a total of 7 different people transfer me and after a grand total of 2 hours of phone time! the end result is you CAN NOT actually call a specific store and apparently only that specific store can order my needed 3 feet which will necessitate my having to physically drive there to get them to orderThis is entirely ridiculous and I ,due to the pandemic try to not have to go out. This company is seriously being run by completely ignorant fools. A simple problem has turned into a huge problem. They couldn't install the machine without the proper parts so we will now need to visit the store again to order the parts THEY lost and schedule yet another installation date, not to mention the cost and inconvenience of of doing laundry at the laundromat. Buyer beware, sales people may be nice but the company they are working for are...
Read moreDisappointed more than a bad service comment. I want it understood that the employee with whom I dealt was very polite, professional with an excellent disposition; a model employee from a mgmt. standpoint. At issue, I bought a product Nov 4 with the âAdvertisedâ understanding that this is âBlack Friday MONTHâ. Today (11/13) I go in and show the item that I purchased for a birthday gift and would like to purchase another for a Christmas gift. No problem until it gets rung up $30 higher. Again, nothing negative against the personnel, more from a management standpoint. There is always a way to work something out. An owner/mgr shouldnât want to turn away business rather encourage, not just a sale, but furthering client satisfaction and patronage. Why drive to a Best Buy location, when items can be more conveniently ordered on line AND delivered at no additional cost. Of course the negative side to this is, then I wonât shop at neighboring stores (Hallmark, for a gift bag and card, then pick up lunch, while Iâm out). Sad to think, but perhaps Best Buy is preparing itself to become just a warehouse business. It could make corporate sense not to pay for a storefront location and many employees when just a minimal staff would be required to run an automated warehouse. Being thought of as a faceless purchaser online makes you realize that client loyalty goes both ways and isnât necessary if the objective is just making a sale that is faceless and not interactive. Being a Marine and a Veteran, we live the word, âLoyaltyâ but also understand when we are thought of as a cog in someone...
