HD Tavern — Restaurant in Holmen

I like this bar. A friendly neighborhood tavern, clean and lots of space. Mort is my favorite bartender.

Just wanted to comment on my latest experience on Saturday, June 23. We were there after 9pm. We are smokers and went out to smoke, leaving drinks, phones, and change (about $2.50) on the bar. When we came back, drinks and phones were there but money was gone. One of the female bartenders decided that they needed to get their tip early, which was a huge turn off! I am a bartender and this is taboo... you dont touch anyones money unless they are paying for a drink or, if they have left and ots clearly a tip. Kinda makes me wonder if this bartender is doing this to other customers. We decided to NOT have another drink and left because we were disappointed with this. Obviously, we did not leave...

This review is for the drive in- Waited 35 minutes for food. Ordered bacon cheese burgers (had to check to see if there was bacon on it, couldn't see it or taste it..) and then ice cream for when we were leaving. Once the food came we where told credit cards were down. We didn't have cash and were then made to go to the bar "next" door and use an atm and pay an extra $3 for the atm use. We finally got our drinks and ice cream (to go) ten minutes after we finished eating. We then got to wait another twenty minutes to pay even after telling the manager we were ready. This place has horrible food, service and management. It shouldt take over an hour and a half to eat at...

Usually this place is very nice and friendly, not last night. A couple friends and I went to HD and the service was horrible. Every time I would ask for another drink she would change her whole mood talking to me. I could tell that she hated our group of people for some unknown reason. Once she was done serving me she would go over to her friends on the corner and laughing and smiling. If all of us would’ve gotten service like everyone else at the bar things would’ve...
