Enzo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Homer Glen

This little place has a nice little environment on the inside. We walked in and it had the most perfect smell of, just like a pizza restaurant versus the great smell being covered up. We immediately knew, it was going to be a great experience, and that it was. We sat down and the staff was all friendly. It is serve yourself for drinks from the soda fountain. We had the garlic bread with cheese which was delicious and a stuffed pizza with pepperoni, sausage and garlic. The pizza truly was amazing and really hit the spot. The crust was perfect, sauce had great taste and there was just the right amount of toppings. The pizza came out and the steak was rolling off of it the entire time it sat on the table up until we left and it was still steaming as we put left overs in the to go container. They did have a great special running today however we opted not to do it based on wanting to try the stuffed pizza. The prices were all around reasonable. So, I will be giving a mixed review. We loved the atmosphere & the comradery. The employees had a wonderful conversation & didn't mind customers joining in. It made the place feel very friendly & homey. It's nice that you can get your own soda & free refills. Now onto the food. The appetizer vegetable basket was all burnt. We ordered a gluten-free pizza, a deep dish, and a meat lovers pizza. All the pizza crust were overcooked. The gluten-free pizza actually had burnt parts on the crust. Luckily, I grew up with cracker crust pizza. So, if you like either New York Style Pizza or Cracker Crust Style Pizza then this is the place for you. I haven't dined in, but I ordered delivery. It was a great tasting pizza! Perfectly proportional on the ingredients (not too much/little of anything). The delivery was a little slow, but I attributed that to ordering during peak time, and I live a little bit far from the location... but they were still willing to deliver to me. Another place I called that was near Enzo's was rude & actually hung up on me after telling me they don’t deliver to my address. Even though the delivery was slow, the delivery man was very friendly & apologetic. And the person who took my order gave great customer service, too.
