Poke 18 — Restaurant in Homestead

I went there just by passing by the store next door. The pictures on the window looked tempting, so I decided to give their food a try. I walked in and was reviewing the menu. Two workers were present one looked at me and continued with his work. One customer just left with their order. one other customer was waiting. I continued to wait. After a while, I asked how long have you been here? I received what appeared to be a slight attitude. The worker advised three months. I advised him the proper thing to do was to address his customers when they walk in the door, to show appreciation to someone wanting to spend money at their establishment. Then I left. A simple welcome, we'll be with you soon or something to acknowledge their customers. I see so far their review score is low. I refuse to give my money where it is not appreciated or treated with simple...

I was a little hesitant to stop by because of the ratings but decided to give it a try since I was craving a poke bowl and this was the closest spot. I’m so glad I did! The place is very clean with a cute, modern aesthetic. The gentleman at the counter was friendly, fast, and efficient.

The poke bowl had tons of options to customize. I picked 2 proteins, 6 toppings, 3 sauces, and 2 garnishes and felt like I had plenty of variety. The bowl was huge, fresh, and very filling. Service was quick and the food was delicious. I’d definitely come back and would love to try the bubble tea...

Service was commendable and the ambiance pleasing, but unfortunately, the ramen failed to meet expectations, especially considering its premium price. It was reminiscent of a basic cup of noodles. The chicken was tough and seemed stale, the broth was bland, and the noodles had an unappealing dryness akin to paper. Generally, I'm not overly critical, but this experience was underwhelming. I'm hopeful for improvements, as it would be nice to have a good ramen place...
