Restaurant El Trovador — Restaurant in Homestead

I came here with my wife on December 16, 2019 at 1:05 pm. Order Pupusas first like I do in every Salvadorian restaurants and instead of me receiving the Pupusas first I received the food I ordered after. When I tell the waitress who has horrible service to being with forgot to bring the water we ordered , well when I tell her why the food came out first instead of the Pupusas she said that’s how they do it that if we don’t tell them which one first they come in the order they want ........ this i never heard of then I ask for a manager they say they don’t have one so I speak to another server and she says that how they do it. How can I eat my food and then my appetizer after ??? Never heard of this , then instead of fixing the problem she says it’s our fault cause that how we ordered it. Then my wife’s plate of food she ordered came with Pico when she specifically asked without and the lady said there was only a little Pico basically saying to scrape it off. So I canceled the food and everything kept the Pupusas which were wrong to I asked if they were made fresh and if so I wanted more cheese than beans, well it came with more beans than cheese. Further more when I canceled the two plates of food she said I will still be charged I laughed and told her I will not pay call the cops if they want......still waiting for the bill btw! Never again ! This place has no respect for there customers ! Or knows about service and how to treat...

Excellent Salvadoran food option in the homestead area. it's a very good example of a successful Salvadoran humble restaurant...you can enjoy not just one of the real juiciest traditional and famous papusas plates, but also the freshest traditional salvadoran food in the Homestead area and the excellent and very friendly costumer service and cozy modest ambiance; very nice personal; very fresh food, and very tasty recipes; place very well organized with a colorful central-american designs touch with a lot of variety salvoderan original plates that you can enjoy; meats and traditional soups are in the top of the menu, but also there is plenty of fresh veggies and other foods that you can enjoy and mix; great plates variety with great presentation; great drinks and beers variety...so...

This place is absolutely amazing!! Since the first day I’ve sat and ate here I’ve gotten so much respect from the workers. First time I went there I was 9 years old. I currently went there for Mother’s Day (12 yrs now) and I order the same amazing dish, the pupusas
