Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Homosassa Springs

So we were waiting for what seemed like forever for this place to open in our neighborhood....being from NY (No Delis here) we were very excited to try this place and had very high hopes from the pics on the website. We ordered the original Italian and the roast beef and provolone regular size. I believe they were $10 each. I'll start with the Good...the sandwiches were very fresh and tasty and there was a decent amount of meat and toppings, the sandwich was put together the right way and layered from bottom to top the was it should be (not like a taco), the meat was sliced thin, There was a very good variety of Subs with a lot of topping choices, the service was quick (I ordered ahead w the app). So now on to the not so good....I don't know why they state a mini feeds 1 a regular feeds 2 and a a giant feeds 4 this is absolutely not true sorry! The bread is too soft and I do not know what prosciuttini is but it's definitely nothing like prosciutto the meat is definitely not imported Italian meat (but it was better then most domestic brands out there). The sandwiches look nothing like the photos but I'm not surprised no chain fast food does. As for the price it was fair but a Publix whole sub is bigger and around the same price with way better bread. The food reminds me of Blimpies from back in the day which isn't a bad thing Blimpies made a good chain store Italian sub. So will we return for more? Yes...I am looking forward to trying some of the other subs and all in all was was a very good meal. I definitely recommend trying it for yourself.

Update and removing a Star because of the blatant disregard for customization of an order….2 times in the past month I place an order for pickup with the app and both times the completely ignored my customization of the sandwich and put toppings on that were clearly omitted! This was clearly stated and when I called in the manager read the order back to me as I customized it so it was clearly the fault of whoever prepared it. There is really no excuse for this so I recommend going inside, ordering there and watching them make it yourself which is sometimes very inconvenient but if if you want it done right DO NOT TRUST THE APP ORDERS or you will be driving back to return the mistake sandwich and get...

Updated to lower my rating.. I'm done with this location because it just seems to be getting worse. The food quality has gone down, and every single time I order the food is wrong. Used to get your money's worth, but not anymore - 1 pc of each meat that comes on the sandwich.

Expect the food to be ready at least 15 mins past when they say it will be ready. Check your bag, almost guaranteed to be missing something. Also, don't recommend tipping until after you get your food. It's honestly hit or miss at this location, which is very disappointing!!

I forgot to mention - the app features where you can name who the sandwich is for and the note box for customization instructions... don't waste your time because clearly they do not pay attention. We always have to open them all up to see what sandwich it is, and the pretty basic instructions have yet to be followed. Why prompt people to use these features if you're not going to actually...

Went to this new (2 weeks) JM's and they got it down, well trained in making subs, hero's, hoagies, etc. Friendly personnel. Love Jersey Mike's. Update 8/24/23 now been there a few times, seems like new/different staff each time, but they still make a mean submarine sandwich. Update2/27/24 delicious as usual. The guy making it told me that JM's is going to do away with the double points deal in March. I emailed corporate to find out. Waiting for a response. Update 8-8-24 went twice last month, 2x points days and today. They're still good, but every time it's new people. Today's guy was very skimpy on making 2 giants. Still tasted good though.
