This place makes hands down the best Japanese curry on island. I've tried a couple, authentic ones, cheap ones, fancy ones, the flavor here is the best! Yeah you wouldn't think a ramen spot got great curry right!? Especially the staff don't look like Japanese? But hey, if it's good food, great service and friendly prices, I'm there. We would drive to Kalihi just for this.

Why their curry? Flavorful, great consistency, carrots and onions inside, got a bit of kick to it, perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness. Also their oysters are well fried with a good crunch. Just so glad they got the oyster option! (5 pieces for their oyster curry). Then they got their good tonkotsu going for their ramen. I usually prefer the black garlic oil, but their plain tonkotsu is bomb. Rich and flavorful with noodles with good texture.

Great prices because a combo with chicken katsu curry comes with a bowl of ramen and 4 pieces of gyoza for $18.50. On top of that they gave us complimentary delicious fried sesame mochi balls.

The place has enough tables to not have people waiting outside, although I do think they deserve to have a waitlist. It's clean, simple and comfortable to dine in.

This place deserves 7 stars I think. I hope they do well for a long time because I wanna keep coming back. It's so rare nowadays to have restaurants like this! Mahalo for being a gem to the community! I love Chef's Ramen. See you...

The spicy ramen was good. I normally don’t enjoy chashu in my ramen but this one was super tender and didn’t take away from the ramen. The dumplings came out after the ramen even though it was an appetizer so I took it to go. Still enjoyed it even reheated.

The restaurant is small and the table placement is awkward but I guess it works for the space. There’s only 1 person up front who took care of all of the tables so I had to constantly wait for refill on my water. Almost asked her to just leave the pitcher. Lol. They do add a lemon to the water without asking so if you don’t like that, be sure to mention it! I also asked for extra noodles but couldn’t tell if there were any extra. Next time I will ask for it on the side so I can see the difference.

All in all, it was an okay experience. I wouldn’t drive out of the way to go back but if I’m in the area and the ramen restaurant I enjoy is closed, I might swing by for a bowl.

Oh yeah, they give you fried mochi balls with your check. At that point I was super full and it was too hot to eat so I took it to go....

This is truly a hidden gem, located I'm an unassuming strip shopping mall. Did not expect much but exceeded our expectations.

The dining area is on a small side, with minimal decor. The service was excellent as soon as we walked in. Warm and inviting. The lady was very friendly and worked efficiently handling everything. She managed our party of 7 and others and kept the level of service very high.

They have a great Combo meals options. I opted for the Pork Belly Combo A with Gyoza and Fried Rice. The Ramen was amazing! The broth was impressive, rich, and full of flavor. Top notch! The noodles had the right texture with a little bite. I also like that they add some green vegetables. Definitely a +. Generous portions. The Pork Belly was very tender and flavorful. The gyoza was freshly made, and juicy inside. The fried rice was amazing. The rest of the party was happy with their ramen of choice. Bonus free fried jin dui to end our meal.

I'll definitely coming back whenever I'm back in Honolulu. Highly...
