Came here because of all the good reviews and i'm not super stoked on this place unfortunately. ): I really wanted to love it as someone who makes drinks matcha lattes everyday but it wasn't doing it for me.
Matcha Lilikoi Soda: 3/5 I loved this combo, but I think the soda is overpowering the matcha. I have tried matcha with passionfruit syrup and think it is a superior combination but I think the soda overpowers the taste of passionfruit and matcha. I couldn't taste the matcha at all and it was a faint passionfruit taste. Love the concept, and think it's a good drink but I think if the proportions were done better, it's going to be a banger. It's a sweet bubbly drink. I think this is a great drink, but if I am ordering a matcha lilikoi soda, i better be tasting lilikoi and matcha and not mostly soda. I had to really taste and search for those two components. For $9, this is a pretty expensive drink. Good but not exactttttly it.
Iced matcha latte 1/5: i'm sorry for those who will hate this part of the review. I did not like this drink. It tasted like milk with a splash of matcha. The green is not very vibrant and pretty pale in color. It was not grainy which is a plus. I am the type of person who will put 2-3 grams of matcha per cup of matcha (which is typically a 12oz cup for me) This does not have enough matcha powder in it. I am expecting a vibrant green drink. For $6.50, i would definitely just make it at home. Again, I think they could work on their proportions on this drink. It's a large cup with wayyy too much milk. If i'm getting a matcha drink, i really want it to taste like matcha.
I do like that their drinks do not come sweetened and they let you know that. You can ask to add any sweetener which is a plus.
Service was okay. It was not like 10/10, but not shitty. Just very mediocre. Not many notes in this end.
Bought their tin of matcha for $22 so that I could review that so stay tuned for that if i ever come back on this review.
There’s a parking lot, but it’s pretty difficult to get in and out of. I’d honestly only use the lot if there happens to be no cars, back into a spot(which is what i did) then it will be easier to leave. If not, park somewhere else to save yourself the...
Read moreI highly recommend Daily Whisk Matcha in Honolulu for anyone who loves matcha or is looking for a unique twist on traditional flavors. The quality of their drinks is exceptional, and if they had matcha available for purchase, I would’ve definitely stocked up before leaving. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in the area!

In depth review:
For my drink, I ordered the Strawberry Matcha. The combination of sweet, fresh strawberry flavor paired with the earthy, smooth matcha was simply outstanding. The strawberry didn’t overpower the matcha, but rather complemented it beautifully, making for a refreshing and balanced beverage. The matcha itself was rich and vibrant, offering a clean, green taste that wasn’t too bitter—just the right balance of sweetness and umami. The texture was velvety, and the drink was perfectly cold, making it an ideal refreshment.
My best friend opted for the Chocolate Strawberry Hojicha, and she couldn’t stop raving about it either. The hojicha’s toasted, smoky flavor paired wonderfully with the rich chocolate and the light strawberry notes. The drink struck a perfect balance between sweetness and depth, and the smoky undertones of the hojicha were unique and comforting. It was a perfect contrast to my fruity, sweet matcha.
The service at Daily Whisk was super friendly, and the vibe of the café was cozy and welcoming—ideal for a quick stop or a relaxing moment to enjoy your drink. I truly wish they had matcha bags available for sale when i visited . I was leaving Hawaii the next day and had hoped to take some high-quality matcha home, but unfortunately, they were out of stock, and the staff mentioned they weren’t sure when they’d be getting their...
Read moreI contemplated not making this review because it seems to be locally owned and operated, but I just want to be very honest. The matcha here is weak. Could barely even taste it. It was like iced milk with a smidge of matcha. If that's your thing, cool, but for the folks who are like me (loved matcha decades before the hype) this is not it. I have to question all of the reviews saying that the matcha here is "just like Japan" because it is NOTHING like it. The baked goods were great and affordable though! That's the one thing this place does very well. I really don't know why this place is so packed, lots of young folks who can't get their phone out of their face for 1 second were lined up. Maybe some person on socials is doing their job right to convince you that this place may have decent matcha. Highly recommend the matcha place in Waikiki over this if you want the legit thing, but do come here to get some delicious baked goods. Parking lot was a mess, had to park in the paid lot across the street. Wait time for a drink and 3 baked goods...
