Went on FEB 19th. This was my first time back to Eagle Cafe in about 7 years. New management/owner/name since the last time. I had the saimin special, and shared an order of gyoza, garlic edamame, and calamari. My future father in law had their burger with fries. Parking was easy, and on an interesting note, they had live music that night that was not on their usual schedule of live music nights. They played some old time Hawaiin music as well as some fun music. We were seated quickly and in time to still benefit from their happy hour specials. The surprise standout was their Calamari. It was cooked well and the breading was flavorful. The size of the squid was also pretty decent. The Saimin was pretty average, not a standout like at other places. And the hamburger was the same, pretty average, with nothing to make it stand out as either good or bad. What might sound like a quibble was the slow service. We ordered 3 entrees, 3 appetizers, their bucket of beers, 3 waters, and during the course of ordering additional drinks, asking for more water, the wait staff never did clear any of the plates or empties. Overall would go again but not at the top of our list

My wife and I went here for the first time in over 15 or so years. There is a new owner. She used to own Cafe Olive (an Italian restaurant) in Wahiawa. She then closed that restaurant and leased the restaurant space at Mililani GC. After five years they tried to up her rent DURING COVID 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. She didn't renew and ended up buying "New Eagle Cafe". They have happy hour if you want to have a few adult beverages after work and looks like a good pupu menu. My wife ordered a salmon salad and I had the sizzling hamburger steak. My wife and I both enjoyed our entrees. One thing I know about the owner is this: 1. She renovates her places 2. The service is good 3. I like her food Stop in, form your own opinion. While there, I saw a friend and she said she ate the prime rib and she really liked it.

The spicy pork (and now the sizzling pork belly) were delicious but the service is still a bit slow. There was live background music for the evening meal yesterday. That was nice. I live on a different island but I always make it a point to stop in; twice on this visit. The atmosphere is comfy, the staff is friendly and the food is portioned for hungry people. Most importantly to my always busy day, the booth seats are not uncomfortable so it's relaxing to linger for coffee after the meal. LOL, priorities.

I am sad to say that our experience at the New Eagle cafe was beyond terrible. From the food to the customer service, it was well below our expectations. To be fair, they were shortstaffed, as we have experienced in many spaces. There were a total of 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. What was dissapointing was that our stressed out, slower waitress struggled to serve the tables in our area. The other waitress watched and apologized to our tables but did not step in to help her, even when she could. The fast waitress seated all her patrons quickly and they were served their meals within 20 minutes. Our waitress looked tired, frustrated, and took so long that one customer decided to pick up his food and utensils from the cook counter. I was confused as we are ALL customers and it was painful to watch our waitress struggle to manage her tables. To compound matters the food was over cooked! From the dry prime rib, to the burnt calamari, and the fried crunchy dried pork belly...everything was extra fried! After such a long wait and watching all the customers receive their desserts, we eagerly ordered the fresh apple and peach pie. This was the last straw as they were not only out of ice cream, but the pies tasted like they were baked with roach spray!!! Needless to say after several bites, we figured out that it wasn't our imagination and we immediately stopped eating the pies and notified the staff. They also tried the pies and confirmed that the pies contained something chemical. The bill was over $160.00, not including the tip, and we unfortunately felt that it was a waste of our money and time! My family and I left with a bad taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively...and not to mention sore tummies!!! We wanted to love this place as it is close to home and a place we frequented often prior to the pandemic! I miss the old Eagle cafe!!! I did give them 2 stars for the beautiful new interior and the perfectly cooked skinny french fries! Also even if our waitress was slow, she was still nice and did the...

I'm sorry to give this place a 1 star review, but due to a very rude worker that's what it really deserves. We got out of a show at 925pm nearby and decided to get some takeout. We hurried since we knew they closed at 10pm, when I walked in, a worker named Giselle starred at us and I asked if we could do take out. She asked me "what kind?" Uh, I wasn't sure what to answer. I said "uh, could we see a menu?" At that point she rolled her eyes at me and yelled at someone in the kitchen "can you do one more takeout?" At that point, sensing we weren't wanted there I said "if it's too much trouble we can just go". She answered with "oh, do you mind?" So we walked out.

All my family has worked in service industry. Totally appreciate and respect if a kitchen is closed or closing, but she could have simply said "oh, I'm sorry I have to check with the kitchen to see if they can take another order". We were also there nearly half an hour before they closed. As I took a picture of their hours of operation she walked over to the door sent turned off the open sign. I also took a screenshot of my phone to make sure I had a time right.

Terrible terrible service. We had been here many other times and each time the food and service had been great. Will never be back here again. Thank...
