Other Realms Ltd — Local services in Honolulu

I have been a board game enthusiast for many years, to the point that any time I visit a city, I make an effort to visit all the local shops.

Other Realms is one of those unique places that is absolutely loaded with stuff and treasures. The sections are very dedicated with a large selection (to the point that I would say looking for a specific game can be a slight chore). Prices are standard with an extra shelf of mark downs and they do have everything broken down into sections. Family games, party games, enthusiast games, an extremely well stocked Games Workshol section, and round it all out with 2 separate rooms, one for painters, and o e for gamers.

Definitely a place I could spend hours in just perusing everything.

Not my forte but they have a very large comic section and at least one case dedicated to Magic: The Gathering.

Customer service isn't great (armchair adventurer is #1 there) but the selection at Other Realms is hands down #1 here in Honolulu and I dare say could easily put other stores in other states to shame.

I call and asked about Star Wars #26 today was told yes we have it and at Cover Price. Fast forward I get off rush from Pearl City to the shop...I go to grab the book and the Price has been Price Gouged. $20 so I know People are reselling on eBay for $20 bucks..So I ask Because nobody even offered if I needed help because we'll you see my picture....I notice the Great Customer service to the Caucasian Patrons..So I just grabbed a random book because I wasted gas to come grab one book...And CHRISTIAN and Asian guy with long hair had a very nasty attitude...he seemed to not even wanna talk to me maybe because I'm Black...Very nasty and Standoffish. He then says we Gouged the Price because earlier people were grabbing multiple books....I said well is it fair that I'm being punished for your lack of Not Limiting the amount of books people could purchase....If you are Black don't go here...they won't engage you well at least CHRISTIAN with the Long silky hair won't....I will be calling tomorrow to speak to someone as well...... CUSTOMER LOST.... gouging COVER A PRICES TO...

The location is a bit out of the way, which means little traffic and always having a parking space in the parking garage.

Even if they're busy ringing up other customers, the staff will still greet you.

The shop space is open. While there are a lot of items on display, there is no sense of clutter.

Items for sale are comic books, trades; Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar model kits, specialized games like Blood Bowl, paints, brushes, terrain modeling kits, and Black Library paperbacks, hardcovers, and audiobooks; Magic the Gathering and other CCGs, dice and other gaming accessories, card games, board games, and other tabletop games

Tables at the center of the shop are reserved for gaming, tabletop or CCGs.

There are two side rooms. One is dedicated to RPGs, the other to tabletop gaming and miniatures painting.

Occasionally tabletop game tournaments are held in a room upstairs.

There is a membership card that can earn in-store points for use with future purchases.
