Jacks is one of our first ports of call when we land in Oahu. Our flight usually gets in around breakfast time so we call up the family from the airport and say "We meet you at Jacks"
The staff are friendly and seem to know a lot of the customers by name. We aren't locals so I try to be on my best behaviour as to win favour by the front of houses staff. Why? Im hoping one day to get up the courage to ask them to share their biscuit recipe with me.. oh did I day that Jacks biscuits are some of the best biscuits Ive had the privilege of tasting.
They are light and fluffy and huge by our standards, but some of my family that have been coming to jacks for over 20 years have said that the biscuits have gotten smaller over their years. Read moreExcellent local style mom and pop eatery. Informal and friendly atmosphere although a bit noisy. Great place to eat and talk story.
Serves the best breakfast and lunch options. Wide variety of menu choices at very reasonable prices. Our favorites are the #4 breakfast combo of egg, fried corned beef hash and Jack’s biscuit with coffee; fried rice with Portuguese sausage; and lamb curry.
Saturday mornings are especially busy. Worthwhile to pick up and eat out at a local park nearby such as Kawaikui. Dining-in and take out services are fast, about 10-15 minutes. Lots of parking available with easy access to parking lot from main highway. Phone calls answered quickly. No option for ordering online or delivery.
We have been going there for decades and the quality and service have been consistently excellent. Masks required for entry and social distancing practiced. Open for dining in at...

I've heard that the biscuit has decreased in size over the years, but it's still generous and the taste is fabulous. Pro tip : ask them to grill it for you and thank me later. It's biscuit on a whole new level.
The pancakes are equally awesome and their hash browns are cooked in butter and light crisp.
The place may be a little out dated but don't let that put you off, it's still got the goods.
Average price is $10 per head which in today's standard...
