Koa Oasis Booze Shack — Restaurant in Honolulu

We have stayed at Waikiki Shore 3 times since 2012. It is not a resort but a fully self-contained condo complex. It’s wonderful to have this beachside bar at our doorstep and to be able to come here every evening, watch the sunset and turtles just off the shore while sipping delicious cocktails. My favourite is the Rainbow Lava Flow while my husband loves a Blue Hawaiian. There’s a laid back atmosphere with families enjoying the beach and Fort DeRussey Park. The whole neighbourhood of Fort DeRussey feels less touristy and The Koa Oasis Booze Shack feels like...

The best part of this bar is the location right on the beach. The views are great. Seating is outdoor so no air conditioning.

We got a table but you can take away the drinks and a carry tray is provided. The Pina Colada was icey but good. Service is order from the bar and is slow as only one person working through a small window. Queues of up to 10 people were waiting. The music seemed to be 1960's but missed around. The old music didn't match the location or the crowd. Wouldn't be a place for a rainy day. Public toilets in the park...

One of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Especially as a business owner. Brings his personal problems to his business and takes it out on the possible future customers. Rudely moved us from a table. We were never advised we had to buy anything to sit there. He comes aground with a security guard to prove a point. Not only did this make me embarrassed because he never told me to leave he asked us to not leave things unattended. Rudest business owner.
