The main reason we booked a 5 night stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton at Waikiki Beach Walk is because they have a 2 bedroom suite big enough for our family of 4 adults and 1 child plus they offered free breakfast whereas most Hiltons in the area would only give a breakfast credit for being a Diamond member.

We arrived pretty late as our flight was delayed. I messaged the front desk via the app and let them know we would check in late and Cindy made a note in their system (so they didn't think we were no shows or something).

The front desk agent who helped us, Gianna, was extremely efficient. She explained how everything worked and answered all our questions before we even knew we needed an answer to a question. She took down all our information, handed us our key cards, a loot bag of water, snacks, and a shopping bag. At this point, we had been travelling for 15 hours so it was nice to have everything finished so quickly so we could go into the room to sleep. My wife commented that our experience checking into the hotel was the easiest experience we've had checking in any Hilton anywhere around the world. Thank you Gianna.

The suite we booked was big. They also had my name on the television screens to welcome me. Being night time when we arrived, we couldn't see much that lay beyond the Waikiki area. We woke up extremely early the next morning (seeing how there's a six hour time difference between Toronto and Hawaii) and we caught the sunrise. From our room, we could also see the ocean and Diamond Head. My wife and mother-in-law were impressed.

Breakfast is nice here. There is a good variety of food here and there are two sections, both the same to handle the traffic from the two towers. Everyday, the options change, like fried rice instead of steamed rice or honeydew instead of cantaloupe. However, some things stay the same, like bacon, bread, pineapples, etc. There is an omelette station here as well where you can order any omelette or fried egg. The yogurt cups they provide are non-fat options so it feels very runny to me. We're used to eating yogurt with 6% or even 9% MF so 0% isn't as tasty, but I'm sure some people appreciated it (personally, I purchased a few yogurt cups from a supermarket that was a 10 minute walk from the hotel).

Another reason I booked a stay here was the beach. It's 5 minutes away. Or less depending on how fast you walk. Either way, it's very close. My daughter enjoyed the beach trips. Housekeeping, Nelia, was very good. She cleaned our room and made our bed 4/5 nights we stayed. The one time she didn't, it wasn't an issue. However, we figured out later, it may have been a miscommunication between Nelia and my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law doesn't speak English. So in the mornings if we see Nelia she would say "Aloha! Good morning!" and we would wish her a good morning as well. One morning, we watched as she greeted mother-in-law as she stepped out of the suite, but added "No service today?" Mother-in-law, thinking it a greeting of some sort, nodded and said "Yes." We quickly corrected my mother-in-law and solved the mystery of the missing service that one day. Anyway, there were a couple of days we were in the suite when Nelia came to clean it up (it's hot outside in the afternoons, coming from minus weather). Nelia was patient with us while we went about our business. Thank you.

Checking out was easy as well. Lorena helped us check out. As our flight wasn't until 9pm that night, Lorena gave us a key card to access the washrooms in case we needed them during our last day in Honolulu. We used that key card a couple of times. We also left our luggage with Dean at the Bell Desk as we didn't want to drag everything all over Waikiki on our last day. He too was extremely patient with us.

Overall, we enjoyed our time here. The staff we dealt with didn't make us feel like we were wasting their time. It was one of the easier parts of our trip to Honolulu.

If we ever come back to Honolulu, I would definitely look to stay here at the Embassy Suites by Hilton at Waikiki...

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk exceeded our expectations on our recent holiday to Honolulu. This hotel got everything right. Location - We LOVED being on the beach walk, it was fun, family friendly, convenient and beautiful, tons of restaurants, shopping, fun activities and steps from the beach. Literally everything we needed was within minutes of our hotel room. Check-in - Our check-in with Tomoko started our vacation off in the most amazing way. She was warm, friendly and welcoming. She recognized my Hilton status, provided us with an upgrade to our room, explained all the features and benefits of the hotel, welcomed us to Honolulu and thanked me for being a Hilton Gold member. This was the best way to start our vacation and our stay at the Embassy Suites, and I can't stress enough how special she made us feel. Room - Our room was large, spotless and very comfortable. separate air conditioning controls in each room made us comfortable during the day and night, there was a lanai for each room, and TVs in each room, as well as a microwave, mini-fridge and ample storage. We had a small maintenance issue with our room, and the staff addressed it immediately giving us the option of sending a maintenance member up or switching rooms. Since we were settled and loved our room, we chose to stay, and maintenance was able to take care of the issue to our satisfaction while we were at the pool. We had fantastic housekeeping service twice during our stay, and our room was cleaned and restocked with exactly what we needed. Hotel Facilities - the common areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained, and had little Hawaiian touches everywhere. The pool, bar and breakfast were all top notch. We had a ton of time in the pool, and started our vacation off with delicious Mai Tais from the pool bar. Breakfast each morning was plentiful, varied and delicious, with fresh fruit, cooked to order omelets and eggs, fresh juice, cereal and baked goods, protein and often a Hawaiian twist. Breakfast was excellent, with tons of seating indoor and out, and very friendly breakfast staff, especially members working the egg stations. The grand lanai was a lovely spot to eat breakfast, enjoy a drink, or listen to the music and activities on the beach walk lawn. The restaurants (Ruth's Chris, Yard House, and Roys) as well as Big Wave Dave's, were all exceptional as well, although I suspect they operate independently of the hotel. Staff - the highlight of the hotel. Every interaction we had, from check-in, breakfast, bar, front desk, maintenance and management were truly exceptional. I was able to chat through the Hilton app with quick responses, or call the front desk at any time for help. The interactions I had via chat, phone, email or in person with the hotel staff make this hotel a very special place indeed. I was able to secure a late check-out, and make adjustments to my folio even after having checked out.

I can't think of a single thing we would change about this stay or the hotel. With the convenience of the hotel, the location, staff, service and room options, we could spend several days here and not need to leave the beach walk, plenty of beach access, the pool, restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes of the hotel.

Special thank you to Tomoko, breakfast staff, bartenders and also to Kaiana in management. We can't wait to see you all...

We had an amazing time at the Embassy Suites. We stayed in a two bedroom suite in the Aloha Tower: 3 adults, a senior, and two younger children.

We had a very late arrival (2am, I think) and the concierge was really wonderful. All of us were given welcome beach bags that had a variety of little welcome things like chocolate macadamia nuts, a packet of microwave popcorn, and a couple of other little things.

The suite had a small living room with a pull out couch and a few chairs, as well as a bar fridge and microwave, and thermostat to control the AC. Both bedrooms had a balcony with a partial ocean view (though I would have to see that we could see the ocean without issue) and full ensuite. One room had two doubles and the other had a queen. The beds were comfortable and the room was good. When you walked to the end of the hall in the hotel there was a spectacular view of the beach and sunrise/sunset anyone could access.

The included breakfast was amazing and was open 6:30-9:30. They had an omelette station, bacon, sausages, sometimes pancakes. Really good juices and all the fresh fruit you could want. They also had coffee, which I'm told was pretty good (I don't drink coffee). If you want to avoid crowds, go before 8 and you won't have any issue sitting where you like - inside or outside. There were friendly staff that came often to clear tables.

There was an outdoor salt water pool, which was nice, with a separated shallow area (if you are a parent to a young child be aware there is no lifeguard and they don't have floats - one of the children with us cannot swim and we brought the swim vest on the trip with us). You could turn in your pool card for fresh pool towels and get your card back when you returned the towels. The towels were a good size and quality. The hot tub was being renovated at the time. There was also a bar there and a coy pond. This was also the area where you could turn in your drink tickets in the evening for a Mai Thai or Blue Hawaii or glass of wine or a beer. They also had free little snacks. Recommend getting both drinks at once to avoid the lineup again.

Though the hotel was not right on the beach, we could still see the beach easily from the pool deck and our suite. The location was good, just a couple blocks walk to the beach (the beach is all publicly accessible) where you could rent umbrellas and other things. Just across from the hotel was one of the larger ABC stores (they are everywhere) which had things like alcohol, beach items, and fresh fruit you could purchase - more than most of the other locations. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby and a lot of high end shops. We very much enjoyed the nearby Royal Hawaiian Centre that had beautiful displays and historical information. They have a lot of free activities, like lei making, that are great for families.

The staff were so nice and accommodating. The hotel was clean and in good condition. The only negative is they don't have traditional room service, but there are so many nearby places to eat that it wasn't a big deal. There was also no hotel shuttle to and from the airport. We have no real complaints and had a wonderful stay. Cannot say enough...
