Sconees Bakery — Restaurant in Honolulu

I stumbled upon this spot after a hefty meal at Totoya next door, and it turned out to be a great little find. I’m very picky when it comes to desserts, but the lemon bar here? Easily one of the best I’ve had. Not overly sweet (which is huge for me) and it would've paired perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee.

They also had a pretty wide selection of scones. I went with the peach, but honestly, I couldn't detect much peach, so I’d probably skip those next time.

That said, prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. If you’re in the area, this place is definitely worth a quick stop—just don’t forget...

Scores makes very nice scones. They aren't disguised cakes, like the scones in most grocery stores; instead, they are somewhere between a cake and a biscuit in sweetness. They also have an assortment of cakes, cookies, fruit bars (the lemon bars are good), butter mochi, etc. Day old goods are usually available in the morning. Buy a half dozen scones, some fruit bars, etc. and share them with classmates...

We stopped here on a Wednesday around 8 am to pick up treats before hiking and they were already sold out of the lilikoi bars. So we got guava bars, blueberry cream cheese scones, and a hot dog bun. Everything was just ok. The guava bars didn't taste strongly of guava and the base layer tasted underdone. I didn't finish it. The blueberry cream cheese scone and hot dog buns were fine but...
