Normally I do my own mani-pedi at home. But I broke my wrist and cannot use my dominant hand, so I decided to treat myself and rescue my feet before they got too nasty. I chose Blissful and booked online because of their great reviews and location. The place is small, but clean and cozy. The shop was a little difficult to find because their only (small) sign was on the mauka side of the lime green building and can only be seen if driving from Waialae Ave. The techs were friendly. They even brought a bottle of water to my pedi chair! My tech didn't speak English, but it was okay because the girl next to her was able to translate and she did a good job. But as she was getting near the end of the pedi the shop started to fill up. The clients walking in were obviously regulars because the techs greeted them by name. This is where things went downhill. My toe polish was a little rushed, and my mani was entirely rushed. The second tech came to the pedi chair and did my entire mani while standing at the side of the chair. I had to reach across my body for her to do my injured hand. She even asked if I could make payment during the middle of the mani, and she skipped the hand massage. Before my polishes were dry one person put on my slippers and another helped me out of the chair. As soon as I sat down at a nail desk to wait for the polishes to dry, the second tech came and asked if she could get my wallet out of my bag so that I could pay the bill. Which she did. It wasn't until after I got home that I felt that my feet were like rough sandpaper and I realized later that the foot file and hot towel hadn't been done on my feet. I had made an appointment for a 1.5 hr session, but was there only about 1 hr before basically being pushed out. So I'm giving 5 stars for location, atmosphere, and good work. But the rushed and incomplete job...
Read moreShowed up as a walk-in for a pedicure because I was feeling like a spontaneous self-care day was in order. Sang took care of me for an Organic Pedicure. This treatment includes a salt soak, salt scrub, foot/leg mask, and massage with moisturizer. Sang was friendly and professional. Not every nail salon will care to ask for your name, but she consistently referred to me by name & always checked in with me to see how I was doing. I must’ve looked tired because she insisted that I could take a nap if I wanted to. And I did 😂
The salon is cute and small, just like I prefer. Not too noisy like other nail salons along Waialae Ave. And the fact that I felt comfortable enough to fall asleep says a lot. I’m a high-alert person & Sang’s kindness totally disarmed me from being on edge like I usually am. This allowed me to completely relax and enjoy.
I think it’s noteworthy to say that this salon takes their time. Other nail salons on island have completely turned me off from paying for expensive services just for them to do a rushed & terrible job. Blissful Nails is the opposite. Needless to say,...
Read moreI had a bad experience today. I am a loyal customer and have always come here for my nails. I called to see if any appointments were available and was told to come in now so I did. I did the special pedicure. It was so rushed. I got the scrub but never got lotion or a massage. Then they switched technicians and someone came to paint my toes. As soon as they were done they said they needed the chair for another customer and had me wait at a manicure chair for it to dry. Then after two minutes they put my sandals on and sent me off because they needed that chair. I was so uncomfortable and felt so rushed. All in all I was there for less than 30 minutes. I am so disappointed and don’t know if I feel comfortable coming back after my experience. I felt like I was an inconvenience even though I was told they had an opening. My toes are already chipped too and I just got done with my appointment, as they didn’t give it any...
