I’m fairly new to the order in app experience. So far it hasn’t been great. I’ve walked in ready to grab-n-go only to find my cup empty because they didn’t have soy. I was told I could get a refund…just wait in the seven people line. I’m not someone to cause a scene so I’m completely playing into my pettiness here… but THAT DEFEATS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THE SKIP THE LINE APP FUNCTION.
Why the app doesn’t offer cancellation OR some kind of confirmation that you are who you say you are—is beyond me. There should be a QR code or you should have to show your receipt… because the second issue I had was my drink was simply gone when I got there.
…and when they gave me my coffee it wasn’t the right order… but I’m not one to cause a scene so I left and came on here to vent.
Very nice staff. Clean atmosphere. I’m more irritated with the app than I am with the staff because they’re just doing their jobs.

Read moreI first tried Starbucks in Seattle back in 2000, loved the blueberry muffins. I have been a patron for around 15 years. Yesterday I had a young girl wait on me at the Hilo Starbucks and she messed up my order. No big deal. I told her it was not right she rolled her eyes and changed the order and rudely shoved the food in my hands. Afterwards she then immediately said something in Hawaiian made a joke with the other workers directed me... One of the items that I had ordered was a scone. It was as hard as a stone.. So I asked them to reheat it the same girl reheated it and then threw it on and across the counter. She rolled her eyes at me once more then turned her back and walked away...... I have never seen such had such rude and unprofessional behavior at a Starbucks. I have been to many different locations all over the world, over the years. In summation, this Starbucks at Hilo has...
Read moreMy ham and cheese croissant was cold and hard. I told the lady and she said let me warm it up for you... ok, you would think they make a new one nope. I’m handed back a warm slightly burnt, old hard poor excuse of a $4 croissant. At this point I just ask for a refund you can get better food and coffee at the McDonald’s across the street and half the price. I’m thinking they have the croissants cooked way ahead of time and they sit out until someone orders them. That croissant look like it’s been out over 24 hours. Also poor management because when the cashier informed who I presume to be the manager she didn’t ask what was wrong just do the refund. When I was leaving I heard 2 people yell have a good day as if to say I had an attitude and was a difficult customer. I was not I simply wanted the sandwich I paid for with quality you would expect from Starbucks and was very...
