Aloha!
Long story short, my best friend was born and raised on Oahu. He moved to the mainland after about twenty years on the island and it will always be “home” for him. I had the opportunity twice to return to the islands with him and each time was incredible…. simple… beautiful…. and an experience that was so magical it was hard to describe.
On our most recent trip to the islands a few months ago, we received a lei greeting from my friend’s mother and it started the trip on a very high note.
A few months later, we learned a friend was planning on traveling to Oahu for the first time to get married and my friend and I thought it would be a perfect wedding gift to give her and her family a lei greeting like the one we had on our last trip. The ordering process was easy and super simple. I called to confirm the reservation since this was my first time as a customer and the customer service staff member who I talked to was incredibly nice and even took the time to go step by step through my reservation to confirm each of the details.
My friend and her family arrived and were greeted with the leis we ordered. They had no idea the greeting would be waiting for them when they arrived. They loved loved loved the greeting and the lei greeter went above and beyond to welcome them to the island.
I can not thank you and your company enough for making this such an awesome experience for them… and a belated thank you for making my last experience amazing as well. This is a must-do if you have friends or family traveling to the islands. I would highly recommend the lei greetings to anyone visiting the island.
Again, thank you for everything you did to make both of my recent experiences...
Read moreI give this service 2 stars not because of the lead up to receiving our lei. But because of the presentation once we arrived in Honolulu. Leading up to getting our party of 6 leis was great. Fast, and easy to order and pay online. I ordered 3 Kukui Nut Lei and 3 Fragrant Tuberose & Orchid Lei. The Kukui Nut shells felt fake, I bought a real Kukui nut lei on a previous trip and the one I got from Lei Greeting felt almost plastic. What really disappointed me were the MORE EXPENSIVE Fragrant Tuberose & Orchid Lei compared to the classic lei. These smelled nice yes, BUT lacked presentation these leis were honestly pathetic looking I felt sorry for the three women who were with us. I paid extra thinking these would be better than the classic lei, I was wrong... Don't waste your money.
Lastly, the presentation and receiving of the lei was not worth the money I spent. One women gave the 6 of us the leis, I forget her name but she was very sweet and helpful. I blame the Lei Greeting company for slacking on presentation. We stood there right outside the airline gate getting rubbed by other plane passengers which is loud, cramped, and stressful waiting for everyone in our group to get their lei. The experience was not worth the extra money I would have rather took my family to the Lei stands just outside the airport and let them pick of their own lei.
When I return to Honolulu next year I will try a different company. Every Lei company should have a good ordering and payment system, that should be without question. But if Lei Greetings wants to stay in business or if their competitors want to run them out of business all they have to do is make the presentation better than what I...
Read moreStay Away! Extremely unorganized company. I am writing this from Aulani resort waiting for our airport pickup. Spent over $500 for leis and roundtrip airport transfer only to discover once we landed at the airport that they booked the wrong day for our pickup! Had to wait 30 min for a driver to show up and 45 min for the leis to show up! What family vacation wants to start their trip off by waiting by baggage claim for your leis for an hour?? This company has no protocol or ways to keep track of bookings, it almost felt like they put things on paper to keep track of bookings. Almost laughable business skills and business ethics. They had no clue about my reservation, the young girl on the phone had ZERO customer service skills, I would ask a question only to be meant by deafening silence and I would have to say HELLO to make her talk. I said HELLO about 5 times to try and encourage her to speak. What kind of business is this? Ran by kids? What customer service person doesn't speak? Today I had to call and confirm our return airport pickup MYSELF as they have no protocol to confirm your pickup! I received no email or phone call confirmation that a driver would be picking us up today. When I called this morning, the young girl said "yeah your the escalade pick up??" SHE HAD TO ASK US if we are the escalade pick up!!! I didn't feel too confident in her reply and lets just say I hope they pick us...
