O out of 5 is my review of this specific location. It made me pick 1 so I could post this review.
I had stopped frequenting the Burger King in Hoover due to the obvious. need for a much needed , renovation along with terrible service from entire staff I would receive every visit along with terrible attitudes. I was very happy to see the renovation going on as it was , long overdue.
I thought I would give it a try tonight at 9:30 , seeing all the signs on Hwy 31 saying ,.NOW OPEN , and I had a long work day and needed a quick meal.. I pulled up to the drive thru at 9:30 pm and immediately got attitude on the loud speaker as if I had done something wrong while being told they close at 10 pm. IT WAS 9:30.! I thought to myself ,.maybe they were just confused about what time it actually was currently . I went ahead and pulled around to window because that made absolutely no logical sense at 9:30 pm. I finally was able to get the lady managers attention and she came to window. I politely said to her , I was not really sure what you said over the speaker, and she proceeds to tell me , We close at 10 pm. I responded ,.ok but it is 9:30 , and she then tells me that we start cleaning up at 9:30 . I said , So you close at 9:30 ,.and she says no 10. So if your open until 10 , and your a fast food restaurant and I am here to buy food at 9:30 , why can I not get something to eat ,.30 minutes before you close Lady Manager tells me everything is put away and she was not making anything else. She proceeds to tell me you can check with my boss but we are not making anything else , (She was the manager of this location ) and proceeds to slam the drive thru window and walks away.
WOW , who in their right mind would allow such a individual to work for them , let alone promote them to a leadership role of manager.
My Mistake was thinking a much needed renovation would also provide a much needed change of management and staff at that specific location.
I stand corrected , and it is still the same old nasty place it was prior to renovation ,. due to the people that work on the inside.. That will be my last trip ever to that specific...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the worst BK I've ever been to. In over a year and multiple visits the milkshake machine has been broken every time and the wait times were insanely long every time. To add to the fun, every order had a mistake. The only positive was that the employees were friendly.
Update 5/2/18: The milkshake machine is now working. I love BK burgers so happy to see some improvement in this location's quality of service.
Update 7/29/18: The milkshake machine is broken again and has been for awhile. We've had a month total of great BK milkshakes in the 3 years I've been coming to this BK. So sad.
Update 9/2018: surprise, surprise, the milkshake machine is still broken. I just wish they would stop taunting me with ads for those tasty milkshakes at the drive-thru sign. And, again, double check your order. They missed another sandwich today after we waited in the drive thru for almost 10 minutes.
Update 10/19/18: their milkshake machine worked for one visit about a month ago but was broken again last week. š
Update 11/30/18: the milkshake machine is working again and has been for several weeks. But this last time I ordered, I already paid and was getting my food and the manager informed me they were out of the ingredients to make the shake I ordered. It was too late to refund and the options she offered didn't sound good. She said to come back the next day and get it. 𤣠She was nice, but even after all that...I had to park and go back to exchange an order item that was wrong. She was frustrated for me...but still. Check your order here, I've had something wrong every time. And I'm not exaggerating.
Update 2/3/19 Not only is the milkshake machine still working, they had all of the ingredients today. We were able to enjoy said milkshakes. The milkshake reliability index is increasing. š And to top it all off, the only thing wrong with my order was the drink. I can deal with that....

1st annoying thing is you have a 5.99 when you order two royal chicken sandwich meals and when ordered and when I ask about the special (because my total was quoted to be 19 dollars and change) for two you tell me (not apologetic or shocked by computer error but as if how dare you ask me why your price is different type attitude) I have to ask for the special price. Common sense: If I order the two item it takes to get a discounted price the system should recognize it and if not the cashier should have been properly train on promotions so that they can catch it and not over charge the customer.
2nd annoying thing is most fast food chains now want you to ask for condiments. So after looking in the bag and not seeing them I asked. The gentleman then walks to the back and come back to tell me they are out of ketchup. So I asked for my money back and once you took my food and drinks back thru your window you tell me you got some and ask do I want my food...
