This is not just a review, it's a WARNING. If you expect a professional, courteous, or clean place to eat then this is not the place for you. I have frequented this place off and on for over 20 years and I have never seen its standards lower. After standing in front of the counter for 5 minutes while the employee socialized with one of his friends I was finally asked for my order only to be told that it would be a 10 minute wait. Okay, fine everyone likes warm fresh food so I consented. Then to my surprise the employee bags up a package of cinnamon buns and then gives them to his waiting friend for free as I'm standing there at the register. Where I come from that's called theft. Next, as other potential customers come by they are simply told that they are out of everything with the implication being the employees had no intention of preparing any more products. Then after another customer comes up who had obviously preordered, the manager is asked by the employee at the register to make change for a $20 which she goes in the back to retrieve only to return to kneading dough without any visible sign of having washed her hands and absent wearing gloves. Finally, after my 13 minute wait, the front counter employee tells me, "Oh, all I have is 1 order of cinnamon sticks" with the full knowledge that I had requested 3. When I asked who was in charge the employee initially stated that he was, then when I requested the contact info for a regional supervisor he retreated to the back office and returned with the previously aforementioned manager who then tells me that she is in charge. The two feigned politeness, but I'm certain it was only in an attempt to prevent me from contacting someone who is really in charge. My advice to the reader is DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY or time at this establish. Or better yet, Don't Put The Health Of Yourself or Family At Risk...
Read moreI went to the Galeria Mall today and as I passed by Cindy's Cinnamon Rolls, I told my granddaughters to remind me to stop by there on my way out. Ok, they did and I was excited to be getting a Cinnamon roll so I walked up and a girl is standing there and she asked what could she get for me? I said a Cinnamon roll she goes over and get the tray of rolls out and stands afar off, so I said to come closer so I could see them and she smirks and like inched a little closer. So I said ok then the other girl says do you want the icing on it or in a cup, I said to put it in a cup, then she tells me how much it is and she act like I had a disease barely touching the money and then it made my granddaughters laugh because she held the change in between her two fingers careful not to touch me. I don't like racism and I hate running into someone who is even more! My granddaughters said grandmother you should not eat that. I really didn't want them to be faced with that. It's awful how people are today and they don't mind you seeing it I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK EVER! I Don't have to spend my money...
Read moreI see that several people have favorable things to say about Cindy’s cinnamon rolls. I’m not sure if I caught them on a bad day but here’s my experience. My family and I were in Hoover for a baseball tournament. We happened to be at the Riverchase mall and my husband wanted a cinnamon roll. We followed the smells which led us to Cindy’s. There was quite a line so we had no reason to question whether the product would be delicious. We were soooo disappointed with the quality and taste of the product we received. First we were puzzled as to why the cinnamon rolls were in a paper bag absent of any packaging/wrapping. But most importantly the product was hard and stale. It tasted as though the rolls were made several days ago and left out exposed to the elements. If it were not for the fact that we were in and out of the mall before we tasted them then they would have been promptly returned. Such a disappointment and waste of money...
