Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Hoover

I was in drive thru this morning about 8 to 830 on 5/20. I ordered a steak and chicken biscuit. The girl who took my order was super sweet and efficient. Repeated my order and gave me my total. When i gor to the windown i realized the same girl who took my order also took my money. She was taking orders making drinks, taking money and passing out food, while trying her best to keep drive thru times down. From what i could tell the screen said 1:20. That's pretty fast for one girl. She cashed me out and I asked for a 2 grape amd 2 strawberry jellies, she put them in the bag and realized that that was not my bag. So she takes the jelly out and hands it to me asking if I received my food. I stated no. So she asked if she can get a chicken amd steak biscuit. The girl,I'm guessing manager in charge, was rude to her. She had an attitude about how she already put that over there. So the white girl said may I please have a chicken amd steak biscuit..she rudely yells to the back for a chicken and a steak and said it's because the girl in the window keeps passing stuff out wrong. Now I've been sitting at the window for a while and notice no one is helping this white girl in the window and the MIC is just running and thr girl up front is just standing there. No wonder this girl is frustrated, the leader is lazy and frankly rude and racist and has no idea what's she's doing. I watched her sit bag after back clumped up together over there with ZERO communication to this white girl. During this time the white girl received a phone call. Next thong I know she's slammed the headset off her head and ran out of the building. I hope she's okay, however management needs to get that other girl...

Hands down one of the worst Jack's I've ever been to. I worked at Jack's for 5 and a half years from high school into college and I would've gotten fired if I worked as badly as some of the people who work at this Jack's. Apathy runs rampant here. My wife and I went through the drive-thru earlier and she ordered a Grilled chicken sandwich combo, large, with a lemonade and a ranch dressing on the side. I ordered the Big Bacon Ranch and fry with a large lemonade and a strawberry cream cheese pie with a honey mustard on the side. We waited a long time to get up to the window. The cashier barely paid us any attention. She informed us that they were out of lemonade and they also did not put the sauces in the bag. When we asked for sauces, they told us that they were out of ranch dressing. We went home with our food, already irritated. When we got in and started unpacking the bag we realized that my wife didn't get a large fry, she got a medium fry instead. Both of our fries were cold to top things off. Our sandwiches we're soggy and disappointing. I went to take a bite out of my pie and (for the second time in a row) I got an apple pie that was marked as strawberry. It was also not very warm. I tried multiple times to call and complain and I never got an answer. Our orders always get messed up here in some way shape or form and we always have to wait. This place is a mess and corporate needs to crack down on...

7/31/23 I am revising my previous review to state the following: This is among the worst fast food restaurants I have ever visited! What once was a nice newly renovated restaurant is now one of the worst. I went to the drive through today for a vanilla shake. The drive through was shut down, although someone inside was able to tell me through the speaker that it didn't work. I was instructed to come inside to place my order. I should have driven away but against my better judgement I did drive around, park the car and went inside. I asked "what's up with the drive through?" to which I received a curt reply "it's down you have to come inside to place your order!" Ignoring the rude greeting I placed an order for a vanilla milkshake. "We're out of vanilla!" says the attendant. This is literally the 3rd time I have stopped by this restaurant for a vanilla shake and they have been out. Really? I'm very disappointed and will likely never visit this Jack's again!

3/4/22 This restaurant has been completely renovated since my last visit. They actually demolished the old building and constructed a new one.
