I rarely leave reviews (especially this long) unless I have just God-awful service but, I'm hoping that this will motivate the store manager or owner to make some changes. When I walked into the store, two employees were cleaning behind the bread holder. One did stop to welcome me to the store but, instead of washing his hands and dawning gloves to take my order, he continued to help the other employee until she finally turned to acknowledge me and told him to "go ahead" and take my order. He put on gloves but then stopped to help her with something else before beginning with my order. I should have left then. I didn't see him touch anything other than the little door that leads to the food prep area so, I let it slide. I ordered my sandwich and when it came time to tell him what veggies I wanted, they were out of almost everything! He put a scant amount of lettuce on my sandwich and when I asked for more, he told me that it was all the lettuce they had in the whole store so he could only give me a little more. Then he sprinkled literally 3 little pieces of shredded lettuce onto my sandwich like he was salt bae or something. He had slightly more spinach, no green peppers and was out of oil for my oil and vinegar combo... When I told him that pretty much ruins my veggie sandwich he did offer to give me oil packets to put on it. Meanwhile, two other people who were in line behind me and hadn't even ordered yet asked if the foods they wanted were stocked--they were out and so those people left. I didn't want the sandwich at that point but, honestly, felt bad that it would be wasted food (that this store clearly can't afford) if I walked out. I expressed this to him and he said he would put the oil packets on there himself (wasn't my point but, ok). He struggled to open one packet, grabbed a little knife and cut it open but then asked me, the customer, to open the other one because it was harder for him to do it with his gloves on. The guy was nice--he didn't have a bad attitude or anything, just clearly not any guidance from leadership. Who I assume to be his manager wasn't even trying to remedy the situation. She was too busy trying to joke with him and put dollar bills in his pocket as if he were a stripper. I asked for a discount for what turned out to be a pretty sad looking and tasting veggie sandwich. He obliged and did apologize for not having the toppings so, that's why I did give this two stars; however, whoever is the owner or manager of this store needs to get it together and keep on top of your supply and train your employees on how to remain professional and sanitary when preparing food. You lost two customers and didn't earn a full amount on my sandwich because you weren't prepared to serve us. If this is how it always is here, I...
Read moreTerrible experience at this location! There was 2 unhappy guys working and one lady and a child in line who were already placing their order. I proceeded to stand there so long with no acknowledgment or assistance that I sat down and waited patiently. The lady in line was on the phone getting the dressing lists for 3 sandwiches and she was going as slowly as possible. I didn’t make eye contact or act perturbed even though I was irritated by her disregard for others trying to get a sandwich/food also. The guys working there were like zombies who didn’t speak or greet me when I entered. Finally, the second employee slowly walked over and just looked at me. Yes sir, I would like a…. I was so angry by this point and yes, the lady was still on the phone talking loudly about condiments and dressings for her 3 sandwiches all while she complained about the prices of the food. I was so ready to get out of there and so over SUBWAY and it’s $15 sandwich that I was trying to get out of there as quickly as I could! I will never go back to that location and I will reconsider even going to subway again. The location felt dirty and abandoned even though it was being manned by possibly 2 zombies. They didn’t even try to disguise their unhappiness at being cast into the role of the so called “sandwich artist”. They definitely existed only for the meager pay check that they hoped would enable them to source enough zombie juice to survive until the next apocalypse. They might be given the freedom they dreamed of during their incarnated shifts at the Hoover subway…. Sorry I digressed, as I am now wondering if maybe those 2 hollow eyed guys really were zombie sandwich makers??!!’ 🧟♂️🧟🥪. 😂😂😂😂 just a joke but seriously though...
Read moreWhat's up with this restaurant as far as accepting coupons are concerned? They have written that they won't accept online coupons but accept paper coupons. I showed the lady my paper coupon - she said it won't be accepted. Then when we showed them that it's written over that paper coupons are accepted, another lady changed her mind and said yes, the paper coupon will be accepted. Note : It's the same paper coupon I showed to the first lady who denied accepting it. Not sure why the first lady said it's not accepted when in reality they are accepting it. The third hurdle was with the cashier guy. He came up with his own explanation that coupons won't be accepted. I asked him to give it a try by showing the paper coupon and then when he scanned the coupon it got accepted in the end. I don't understand why there is so much confusion about this among all of the staff. Those ladies were busy talking more among themselves than attending customers and paying attention to what's being asked. One of them was busy sitting and eating - enjoying her drink and food. I'm sure they must have given hard time to another lady who was holding...
