Molasses in January is about as “freaky fast” as this Jimmy John’s was. Walked in for online pickup and was asked “what’s the name?” Gave them my name, they went to the sandwich line and reviewed the tickets and stated that they were almost finished. I sat there while three or more people walked in, ordered, got their sandwiches and left. About 10-15 min. of grace because my wife overheard that there was a catering order (which turned out to be very small).
After waiting, I walk up to the front counter and wasn’t acknowledged. Another customer comes up to order, so I ask tell them that before they order, I need to find out where my food is. The cashier acts completely confused, looking and asking around to the sandwich makers while I show the order on my phone. The same person that asked what my name was and told me they were working on it now stated that they made the order, but I watched and they never brought it to the pickup shelf, never came to me directly with the food, and literally everyone who came in after me ordered and took their bag once their sandwiches were made, then left.
After they made the sandwich they brought the bag to me and apologized. I open each sandwich and none were cut in half, though I asked that they be cut in half on the order. When I approach ask request that they be cut, this other person who was making the bread piped in and stated “No! Once the customer opens the sandwich they cannot come back to the line!” to the person who initially was like “sure”. They could’ve just said “I’ll take care of it” or something much nicer rather than acting like I did anything more than just unwrapping the sandwich just as they would do.
Thankfully we were just passing through and this isn’t my...
Read moreUpdate: Since my initial encounter, I have not experienced any difficulties. The food has been what I expect from Jimmy John’s. My recent experiences have been good (not great) overall and convenient when I need a quick lunch.
I ate here on Jan 8 because I wanted something quick before the national champ game. I ordered a country club with all the freebees except sprouts and cucumbers. The cashier rang up all freebees, add sprouts, add cucumbers. Instead of remaking the sandwich, my toppings were scraped into the garbage and more toppings were placed on top. There were still some reminence of sprouts on the sandwich. Long story short, I got food poisoning from the sandwich. Jimmy johns has now suspended sprouts from the menu temporarily due to salmonella. I feel like this could have been avoided had they discarded the sandwich that was made in error and made me a new one. (I have...

I ordered for delivery, which the store supposedly offers. I was called to be told that they don't have delivery drivers. As a former JJ corporate certified manager (with a 100% score, so I know the policies), I know the corporate-required procedure in the event of no drivers is to call in the 24-7 on-call managers, area manager, or owner to help support the store. This store was left in the care of a PIC (person-in-charge). This PIC does not know Jimmy's systems and procedures and the store is suffering because of that.
I'll be lodging a complaint at the store, as well as at the corporate level, at the lack of advertised services, as well as disrespect when Jimmy's procedures were explained to her. Jimmy would be ashamed...
