This review pertains to the new building on Camden in Hope Mills. I was in town for the afternoon and Mi Casita was highly recommended. I ordered the Fajitas Trio which consists of shrimp, chicken, and steak. The chicken and steak were small, shriveled pieces of mostly gristle. I was completely baffled at how consistently gristly the meat was - it was as if the kitchen accidentally took a bowl of trimmings and threw them on the cast iron. The shrimp were laughably miniature shrimp. The Fajitas Trio sales for $14. After a server dropped of the fajitas, I did not see another employee for 10 minutes. Another employee other than my server recognized my meal was mostly uneaten and asked if there was something wrong. I explained the situation. My server showed up at that moment. I asked if this is how the meat is typically served and she responded, "It's good". There were language issues with all of the staff I encountered. They offered to bring me something else but didn't seem concerned about a food quality issue. They also did not summons a manager, but the first gentlemen may have been an assistant manager. I also ordered a house margarita, $4. The mix they use produces a neon-green margarita. I drink a lot of margaritas - for the value it was not horrible, but even at $4 it could have been more natural tasting. It took about 8 minutes until I was brought salsa. The salsa is the generic thin stuff with a little bite to it - nothing more than a waste of calories on an expected freebie appetizer. From the unprofessionalism of the Server who was filling in as the Bartender this was the beginning of a horrible dining experience. We ordered Margitas just as we'd done the day prior at the same location. The Server poured the drink, and sat with other patrons engaging in conversation. She never returned to check on us, or to ensure the drink was to satisfaction. After we consumed our drinks, we summoned the Server to express our concerns about the drink and the dissatisfaction with the product. To much dismay, we assumed that since we'd ordered it the day prior that there wouldn't be a huge variation in taste. She presented us with our bill and went to the Manager to inform him that we were dissatisfied. The Manager brushed off the Server and dismissed himself. I waved him down to express my dissatisfaction with the service as well as, the drinks. He abruptly stated that there wasn't anything that he could do and accepted our payment. I informed him of the sequence of events and he hastily brushed off the concerns stating that he would not offer any discounts. He made several excuses that he needed to review video to see if the previous Bartender made our drinks properly. That didn't offer a resolve nor did he seem interested in any realm of customer service. I would suggest that the Manager not to be nonchalant to customer concerns and if they pull a Server to perform Bartender duties that she stay present. Read moreSo I went there with my family and I got my order and the food looked and tasted dry and when the server came over and she was super nice she went and talked to the manager asked what’s wrong told him I even had a picture of the food and I took one bite of the enchiladas and the refried beans and the rice that was served so I ate less than half but the manager wanted to charge me half. I don’t need to complain about anything when I go to restaurants because I’ve worked in them so instead of taking it off my bill, he grabs my money out my hand charges me for it and then I lower says I should’ve charged you more. Excuse me sir who are you? He said he was the manager and I’m like wow this is how the managers handle their guest. The manager should be fired. I am a paying guest for one with my family instead of fixing the problem or even offering a different food he just gets angry snatching my money charges me, and then says he should’ve charged me the whole thing, so I’ll be honest with you people don’t go there to eat while the manager works there especially if your food isn’t good he’s either going to charge you have or the whole thing...
