Food is just barely there, drinks are mediocre at best, and the atmosphere is absolutely stunning—if you love being bombarded by noise. Honestly, I felt like I was front and center at a legendary Houston Texas concert. If only it was open mic night or some kind of live performance—oh wait, no, it’s supposed to be a dinner spot. So I guess it’s totally fine to lean over two inches from the waitress just to place my order because conversation is completely impossible. Smh. Trying to talk was pointless because it’s so deafening I had to scream. Maybe they should turn down the music a tad, you know, so people can actually have a normal chat and enjoy themselves. But no, this place is just a giant gimmick, desperately trying to stand out. Instead of letting the food and vibe do the talking, they rely on a DJ who’s clearly just pressing buttons all night, pretending he’s scratch DJing with CDs.
Update: The fajita La dama chicken? Absolutely perfect—if perfect means dry and overcooked to the point of being inedible. I had to drown it in cheese and salsa (the free chips ones, of course) just to bring it back from the dead. Talked to someone, and miracle of miracles, they managed to turn the music down for three glorious songs before blasting it back up like it’s a stadium. Smh. The old folks’ table? They looked like they needed an oxygen mask just to talk. I can’t even. Not to offend anyone, but when Hispanic folks get excited, they talk extra loud, and this guy had a microphone like he was auditioning for a show.
So yes, I checked it off the list—new place to try, and probably the last. Don’t rush to follow in...
Read moreApproach with caution..!!! Girl friend and I went to this restaurant last week. I was certainly happy to visit a new Mexican restaurant. Appearance inside and customer service was very nice. UNTIL...!!!! We had a frosty cocktail before our meal. Then we ate. My bill was $66.00. I felt pleased with the place. 4 hours later while at home, we both were sick. Major diarrhea lasting thru the night. Felt the urge to throw up but didn't. Next day I called management at the restaurant. Her response was she will call me back after speaking with the owner regarding this. As suspected, didn't get a call back for 2 days. I called again today, the managers response after conferring with the owner was "Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do for you. Food sickness/poisoning only occurs after 24 hours" I couldn't belive she tried to put the blame on me. As a new up and coming restaurant "Shame on you!!!" I informed her I will report this to the Health department and share my experience on social media. She didn't care.. I have a feeling that the bad food must have been from the shredded chicken OR the frosty cocktail. Not sure.. but what is sure... we were sick from La...
Read moreFrom the time I entered I noticed things were unorganized. The hostess seating the customers, the amount of time it took for the customers to receive their checks, turn around for tables, and my very own experience. The waitress was nice and polite. She messed a couple of orders up but that may be because she couldn’t hear. The servers that actually brought the food out were kind of rude instead of trying to find out what the actual issue was. There needs to be constant buss boy/girl clearing the tables after customers leave. That way the turnaround time for tables is less. One waitress doesn’t need to have more than three tables. That way their attention is focused on the customers rather than running all over. Also, those three tables assigned to the server need to be within an arms length of each other. If there is a party great than 5, the server should get that table and two other tables…no more. The more attentive a server the...
