I hesitate to even write this review, because Hopkins locals already know what a gem Hendrix & Siena is—and I’d like to keep getting a table on Friday nights. It’s become our ritual: my wife and I “discover” the fridge is mysteriously empty, then meet here for dinner. The vibe works no matter the mood—drinks at the bar, a glass of wine on the patio, or a cozy spot in the dining room. My wife raves about the wine list (she’s partial to the rosé lineup), and the menu has never let us down. From house-made pastas to perfectly prepared entrées, it’s Italian comfort food done right. Of course, I’d be lying if I didn’t mention the pickle pizza. It’s not just a gimmick—it’s genuinely one of the most unique and craveable things on the menu. But it’s only one highlight in a lineup of dishes that keep us coming back. The service is equally standout. No matter where we sit, we’re treated like regulars—warm, attentive, and never rushed. It feels like dining with family, only with better wine and no dishes to clean up afterward. Just a heads up: I’ll be back next Friday, already thinking about what to order. Save me a seat.

Unfortunately we were so disappointed after dining at Hendrix & Siena tonight. Service was continually lackluster, our server made comments about the portions being very small, things being “basic” and little detail to be able to add when we asked questions about dishes. The atmosphere is very cute, but small and no bar space to be able to grab a drink and linger at which is not ideal. We asked about N/A drinks and the server has lukewarm at best comments about the options and didn’t offer any recommendations or creative options. When we asked about the entrees, they were out of the cavatelli and quickly thereafter ran out of the papardelle.. When we asked what they recommended next, the server was puzzled saying it was hard to say with their two top pastas being sold out. As we were hurrying to order pizzas the server was adamant that we needed to get an order in quickly because they had less than 5 pizza dough left before that would run out, not an ideal experience at all. Very disappointing overall and we left feeling that the experience did not at all live up to the hype in the reviews.

A lovely addition to Hopkins! The food was amazing. The service was a little disjointed but also they are a new restaurant. We sat in the bar area, which was so nice. The restaurant area seems pretty crowded and stuffy. Let's talk about the best part... the food and drinks. I had a dirty martini that was the best I've ever had and my husband had an amazing old fashioned. For appetizers we ordered the Caesar salad, the mozzarella and the foccacia. All were very good. For entrees we had the lasagna and pepperoni pizza. The lasagna was incredible, SO delicious. The pizza was very good, the crust was excellent but there was so much pepperoni that it made it too greasy. Overall, this is the best Italian restaurant that we've been to in MN and we look forward to returning many times

I rarely write reviews but my experience at Hendrix & Siena was so top notch that I felt like I owe it to them to write this. Immediately upon walking in, my fiancé and I felt so welcomed and comfortable despite not having a reservation. We happily sat at the bar. First of all, the environment is so unpretentious and cozy, yet beautiful and well thought out. Upon recommendation from the bartender, I ordered the Fiore cocktail and it was fantastic. We then ordered the eggplant bruschetta and knew we were in for a a top tier meal, it was absolutely delicious. We ordered both the chicken parmesan and the tortellini to share. The chicken parm was the best I’ve ever had. Yepp, I mean that. Best. Ever. The tortellini was also phenomenal. After that we ordered the affagato for dessert and were very pleased with that also.

This next part I’m only including because it was truly above and beyond on the restaurant’s part and credit is due where it’s deserved. Beyond their control, they had a guest that became bit unruly and out of hand at the bar next to us. He started to become disrespectful to the bartenders and they handled it with grace. But when he started to turn towards me and reached out at me, they took it so seriously in the most empathetic and kind way they could have. They were so kind to this guest and politely, quietly handed him his bill and asked him to settle up and head out, without any judgement or forcefulness. They chose compassion when they absolutely did not need to and that speaks volumes to the heart of this restaurant. It was beyond their control and not the norm at all here, just a fluke situation that they handled in the absolute most respectful and caring way. This restaurant deserves every good thing coming their way and I can’t wait to return to try their pizza! It’s a new...

Book your rezzy here now! We were wildly impressed by our dinner tonight at Bar Siena. First, the service was on point. Our server David was attentive, friendly, and has excellent style. And the entire restaurant is a vibe. I adore a cutesy bathroom, and they hit the mark here.

Italian is typically our least favorite cuisine, but tonight changed that. Everything we ordered was divine! For starters, we got the lemony beans, which were cold (didn't expect that) but bright and a refreshing flavorful way to kick off our meal. Next, we shared the Pappardelle Alla Lisa and the Lasagna Duefoglie. Woah. Do not leave without trying the mushroom lasagna! Really a showstopping dish. And while I'm not usually over the moon for red sauces, the pappardelle was flawless. The pasta on both dishes had the perfect texture.

Next, we got the Chicken Tikka Pizza. Unlike any pizza I've ever had before but in the best way. It had really wonderful textures and flavors. So unique. We couldn't stop talking about how amazing the crust was (what a thing to be raving about). Looking forward to trying the pickle pizza on our next trip.

We finished with the Carmel Tapioca Budino. The crunch of the sea salt matched the softness of the tapioca. Heavenly.

As Hopkins residents, we were excited to check out the new spot, and it more than lived up to the hype. Already looking forward to our next trip there.

Only critique: I would love to see a non-alcoholic wine option...

We have been wanting to try this restaurant since we moved to Hopkins a little over a month ago. Was finally able to grab a reservation. I'm in a wheelchair, so we do not go unless we have a reservation.

First off... When we were first seated my legs did not fit under the table. Not uncommon at all, you get used to the side sitting if you are tall and in a wheelchair. The General Manager saw this and offered to move us to a different table (without me saying a single word, as I said, I'm used to this) which we took him up on. This table was slightly taller and I was able to fit. Plus we got to watch the chefs cook which was fun and notable that they all seemed happy and worked together in the kitchen. Note - I have never had this happen at another restaurant.

The food.. in one word, Amazing. I'm actually hesitant to write this as I kinda want to keep this place to myself, but they deserve to have people know about them. I had the lasagna which was outstanding (very rich though... but so good) and SO had dill pickle pizza. The crust is world class. Oh.. and I got to watch one of the chefs make the pasta for the lasagna. Bonus.

Service, outstanding, food outstanding. If you are on the fence, just go. It's a bit noisy inside, but that is the only minor nit and didn't bother us.

We will be going back. I watched them make the chicken parm and I'm dying to try it. Do yourself a favor...
