Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Hopkins

Since I am from the East Coast nothing better than a Philly Cheesesteak and when I moved to Chanhassen back in 2017, at least I had Jersey Mike's right down the street. A few years ago, I moved over towards Minnetonka and finally decided to give the Hopkins location a try and the food quality and service was top notch. In fact, the shift/assistant managers were always very professional and I got a great sandwich, in fact, I usually have a personal rule that I don't tip if I have to stand to wait for my meal.

A few weeks ago, I stopped in to get a Giant #17 cut in half and each sandwich in it's own bag. I tipped as usual and then when the young lady at the grill finished cooking and wrapping the sandwiches, she walked over with four (4) sandwiches in her hands and when she was approaching, I asked her if they were a #17 for "Jim" since I already paid. The person said nothing and just stared at me. She then pushed the two sandwiches towards me, remaining silent but continuted staring. I thanked her and still not a word.

When I got in my car, I thought to myself "What the Hell was that all about?" When I arrived to drop off the other half and made mention to her what occurred, she was worried if the employee also tampered with it.

Not much into "mind games" and hostile employees and reached out to a manager who proceeded to inform me he would have the General Manager or District Manager contact me. Never heard anything and don't plan on ever going back to any Jersey Mike's operated by Team 551 Mangement Group or any Jersey Mike's in the Twin Cities Metro. In the last week alone, I've picked up dinner at Chik-fil-a twice, Leann Chin twice, White Castle once, McDonalds once, and Blaze Pizza once.

If I'm in the mood for a Cheesesteak, I'll go to Tono's or...

The two black ladies that work here we’re going back-and-forth about my service dog and had so much attitude. One of them actually walked away from making my sandwich after having a fit saying, she asked me what I want on my sandwich, but she didn’t look at me when she said it so I didn’t hear her and she threw her hands up and walked in back. Then the supposed other black manager lady rang me up.. the Apple Pay was not working, she took my sandwich right away, put it on the back counter and said it’s not working. Have a nice day. Thankfully, there was a nice guy working there that tried it again, and it successfully went through. These two girls were extremely unprofessional and absolutely rude. I just don’t feel like jersey Mike’s is a place to act ghetto. It was a weekend shift. The guys that normally work during the week are great. The two African-American women are such an awful experience. Being bullied by those two women for my disability, it was absolutely by far the worst experience I’ve ever had any fast food restaurant. You cannot treat me differently because I have a service animal and I know that’s right stemmed from because they kept talking about my dog. Also, the way she took my sub and said Apple Pay isn’t working and basically tried to shove me out of the store. I’d just think that some the “manager” might have a better experience sticking to the dishes. But I’ve always had a good experience at Jersey Mike’s with all the guys up until those women and unfortunately don’t think I will be returning.

I ended up calling the store, crying after leaving to speak to general manager. The guy gave me an email and sadly no one returned my call or my email. It really sucks because I was a regular who would go in...

Normally I love Jersey Mike's, but this occasion was early in my growing love for Jersey Mike's that ended up making my love for 5 Guys (burgers and fries) even stronger. So, earlier last year, around spring/summer time, me and my friends went to MicroCenter out in St. Louis Park, and we we going home and decided that Jersey Mike's would be the one place we wanted to go. We ended up driving past this location and had to do some detouring and turning around to get to the place because we missed the turn or something. It was around 3 or 4 o'clock, and we parked in the parking spot and got out. We reached the door of the location, and tried to open it; it was locked. So, we are wondering why the hell it would be locked or closed at 4 on a Saturday, and just get into the car. As we get in, one of the employees just comes out of nowhere to tape a sign to the door; "We ran out of Bread for the day. We're closed." Not even a apology on the sign, and because the store doesn't know how to supply for the customer's demand, they ended up wasting a lot of people's time that day from around 4-9, the usual hours for a lot of people getting off work and out shopping that come here... Well, after that, we just went and walked 20 feet over to the next good food place; 5 Guys! That was very good. The moral of this encounter is that, you have to be prepared to have enough supplies, ESPECIALLY BREAD, in a SANDWICH SHOP. This place was obviously unprepared and closed within around 5 hours of being open... Better luck next...
